I've noticed that after Afterbirth, many people are getting lag. I had this problem, but here's how to fix it!

I did 3 things.

1: Turn off vsync. This can be done by going to OS(C:) > Users > (Your User) > My Documents > My Games > Binding of Isaac Afterbirth > options.ini
then set vsync to 0

2: Go into fullscreen. In rebirth, fullscreen was laggy, but now it fixes lag(for me, as least.)

3: Uninstal any mods you had. This is kind of a given.

Can we disable water effects and smoke? That lags my game the most.

Soldado✗Br, yes you can tweak other things in options.ini, but changing vsync is mainly what helped for me. You can change other things there, but I would only reccomend doing that if you know what is going to happen after you make changes.
