Ways to make money

This is just a quick guide to recommend you some ways to make quick money.


What I recommend:
I recommend doing the poison route. From my testing (with my stopwatch :D) it's the fastest in terms of effort/profit.
Gunpowder is the most profitable but you need a lot of base gold already and the menure collecing is annoying.
Bread and Crab Soup I can't recommend because it's not enough profit for bread and crab soups takes too long.
Charcoal route is about equal to Poison and the steps are really easy. You also only need to venture 2 maps that are right next to eachother.

So do Charcoal or Poison, you can start doing those in the first 30 minutes of the game and ramp up enough gold to get you through the game smoothly.

Quick Notice: This method is quite slow because you can't sell all your crab soups at once but rather have to wait a bit inbetween each sold crab soup.

Buy Empty Barrels and Empty Sacks (for manure)
Make Manure
Get Gunpowder
Sell Gunpowder










Profit: 52 Gold per Gunpowder
Quick Notice: This method is quite slow because there are many steps to it and you can't buy all the menure at once, you have to wait a bit inbetween gettint it in the same manner as the crab soup.

@domlesombre Thank you! This is exactly what I was hoping to find when I checked this guide. Something I could buy and then sell without a lot of steps. And at 2 coins per basket, it didn't take long to get a comfortable number of coins.

Wow this is good advice: always a problem when you suddenly need a lot of munny in the game!
I always used the charcoal method but the poison one is more fun :)

As to making Gold fast, while I have not "counted Clicks", the "How to Charcoal" option seems simplest and involves less travel and so seems faster in time if not in clicks :coolsquare:

@Vudis & @Tola, perhaps I am missing something, but in looking at your "How to Bread" pics, I see the profit to be 5g per loaf ... Not just 1 :steamsalty:
That puts it on par with "How to Charcoal".

To wit: Grain costs 30g; Flour costs an extra 5g; this yields 5 Bread with no gold cost; and the Bread may be sold at 8g per loaf for a net gain of 40g less 35g costs.

Thus the "Sell the Flour" gambit does NOT yield 3 times the Bread option. Rather Flour yields 3g versus 5g for Bread.
