Etiquette (If you’re not going to read anything else on this guide, at least read this. Please)
I’m going to start this guide off with some GRP etiquette that needs to be taught to about 9/10 of the TDM population. Don’t be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. An ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ consists of:
-Making fun of or demeaning people for buying guns, armor, bundles, etc. with real money. Yes, we all know it’s a free-to-play shooter but the only reason game developers make games free-to-play is because they expect their gaming communities to buy from them in order to get an advantage over their opponents. If people want to spend their own money on a game, then let them.
-Camping. Camping is probably the most widely-hated thing someone can do in a shooter, yet it’s effective. If you want everyone to hate the living ♥♥♥♥ out of you. But, if you don’t care what people think of you, then by all means go right ahead. Before you do however, here’s a tip from a pro: I like when my enemies camp. Do what you will with that information.
-Complaining. If you’re one of those people who uses Voice Comms to tell everyone else how “this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥” or “that guy’s totally a hacker,” then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stop. All of your Godforsaken complaining is going to distract your teammates, which is going to lead to them dying more often, which won’t help you in any way, which will lead to you complaining. Did you notice how that chain of events took you back to the beginning? Yeah, it happens like that.
-Carrying. Assuming that you’re good enough to carry your team once in a while (or even all the time), make sure to take into consideration the effect that you’re having on your team. If your carry is boosting your team’s points, morale, hype, etc. then keep on doing what you’re doing. BUT if your carry is from stealing your teammate’s kills, leaving nothing for anyone else, or is ultimately having a negative impact on your team, then stop you egotistical douchenozzle. That’s the bad kind of carry (SilentPunisher).

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s continue to the actual guide
Spraying
Spraying will actually save your life. Now I’m not talking about spraying and praying, I’m talking about calculated spraying. In this section of my guide, I’ll teach you how to do just that. Now, like I said, no spraying and praying. When you’re calculated spraying (which should be about 80% of the time), you should always keep moving while still keeping your crosshair aimed right on the enemy. You’ll find how to manage this more easily in the next section.
Upgrades you’ll need for perfected calculated spraying
-Any form of Laser Designator
Having a laser designator is probably the most important part of this whole section (Which is why it’s first on the list. These are going in order of importance by the way. Probably should’ve mentioned that) You see, having a laser designator on your gun adds a little green dot in the middle of your crosshair which is where the majority of your bullets will go. (In the red circle)

This will help you control your firing and maximize how many of your bullets hit the target.
-Control and Accuracy upgrades (Muzzle Brakes, Stocks, Barrels, Grips/Bipods)
This one is pretty self-explanatory, but make sure you have all of them.
Here’s a picture of my gun (AsVal-H) and all of the upgrades I use for it:

Now if that gun looks a little too expensive for your taste, then I recommend the Tier 5 F2000 or the Tier 3 ACR with these upgrades.

-Mag Ammo
Mag ammo is an excellent source of increasing your damage output. It's pretty cheap, and extraordinarily effective. What mag ammo does is it boosts your primary gun damage by 20%. Even though this might not seem like much, if you actually do the math, it puts your dmg up a lot. For example, on my AsVal-H, which has a regular damage of 39, it adds another 7.8 damage to my gun. I highly recommend always using mag ammo. I know I do.

Side Note: Mag ammo decreases your gun control but 10% but it's hardly noticeable.
Boost Your Reflexes and Reaction Time
-Boost Your Reflexes and Reaction Time
Now this one may seem like a given, but I'm telling you, this part is crucial. Good reflexes will allow you to pull off some pretty cool stuff that you didn't know you had in you (I definitely do crazy ♥♥♥♥ that amazes me every day). Ultimately, it will allow you to be able to turn around while an enemy is shooting at you and take them out or pop out of cover, take down two enemies while they're in your sights, and pop back down before they can pull the trigger. Now, if you're wondering how to "Boost your reflexes," luckily for you there have been studies, as shown below: http://www.wikihow.com/Improve-Your-Reflexes

If you don't want to read any articles, then the best way is playing FPS/TPS shooters (So GRP works).
Tac Suit Upgrades and Choices
-Tac Suit Brief Description
Tac suits are an incredibly crucial part of any gameplay, but they perhaps matter the most for Assault. The reason for this is because the general gameplay style of an Assault is to "run and gun." You're going to want to have either lots of health, lots of armor, or lots of mitigation (or even better, a balanced mix of all three). This is what's gonna help you go on that absolutely mad kill streak or take down a badass adversary.

-Tac Suit Choices
Now, quite obviously, you're going to want the highest tac suit you can get your hands on, but that's not always the easiest thing to do (Check out the Infite Pack section to find out how you can get good tac suits for a lot less time and money). Choosing the right tac suit to fit your playstyle is based on a few components. First, what are you used to, moving fast and (hopefully) dodging most bullets that come your way or moving a little slower and lasting a lot longer? If you like he first one, then stick with a light tac suit, but if you're like me and can give up a little speed for insane health, then definitely stick with a heavy. There are two tac suits that are only able to be gotten from mystery boxes and they are the Ultra-Light Tac Suit (Light) and the Ballistic Tac Suit (Heavy). Tac Suit VI's have 5 upgrade slots where the rare tac suits have 6. Keep in mind that, depending on the map, you could potentially switch your tac suit each game. This is based on the map.

-Tac Suit Upgrades
Currently, there are 4 upgrades you can choose from for each slot which are Damage Mitigation, Anti Crit, Max Health, and Health Regen. There are also 3 different tiers of each starting at regular, then improved, then Massive. Deciding which upgrades would benfit you most almost entirely depend on your playstyle like in the seciton above. You can use the same logic in choosing which upgrades you want that we used before in choosing the right tac suit for you. I, for one, love having massive amounts of health and even though I haven't gotten my hands on a Ballistic Tac Suit, I still have 190 health every game. Here's my tac suit for the time being.
Basic and Advanced Gameplay
-Sliding
If you have it perfected, sliding is going to save your ass more than once, and it's also going to protect that beautiful kill streak I put you on. Even though sliding is great to catch your enemies off guard and get a quick, easy kill, it also has its cons and you have to know not when to slide. You sure as hell don't want to slide right into the barrel of a shotgun or a high powered assault rifle, or you'll be down before you have a chance to take your finger off the space bar. What you need to learn to do is slide to the side of a foe and take them out while they're turning to shoot you. Of course, all of this is irrelevant if you're facing and AA-12. In that situation, you're better off catching them off guard.

-Prone or Crouching
Prone is a beautiful thing. If I can't immediately spray someone to take them down, then I'll go prone and murder them before they know where I went. If you follow the "boost your reflexes" section, and train yourself to press Ctrl when you need to without even thinking about it, then going prone is the most deadly method of attack you can take. First of all, most of the time enemies won't be expecting you to just drop our of their sight and take them out so they won't be able to react quick enough. If however, you know it's a formidable opponent, or they have somehting like the Godforsaken AA-12, then that won't always work. In that situation, you'll need to prone and roll to the left or right as fast as you possibly can. Again, you'll catch them off guard and be able to wipe them off the face of Ghost Recon.

-Stay Moving
If you use my spraying method to kill, you can't just stand still or your foe will take you out. What I normally do is I move either forward, right, left, or slide in order to dodge the majority of their bullets and kill them.

Secondary Weapons
Secondary weapons can be very useful if you either run out of ammo, or have to reload your primary. However, many secondary weapons are incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and won't give you any extra help. If you want them to be effective, you'll have to pick the right one to fit your playstyle.

If you're the type of player who absolutely loves fire rate and could care less about damage, then I reccommend the Ots-33 or some lower tier item like it.

Now say you can't get enough damage packed into one gun but fire rate is a small concern. I recommend the Judge (which is literally like a mini AA-12) or some high damage pistol.
Devices
The Assault class comes with two base devices that you'll unlock shortly after your first game. These two devies are ADS and Blitz. ADS is a device that flies up above you and projects heat in whichever direction you're facing. The heat blinds enemies (Makes their screen all blurry), stops them fro being able to shoot or do anything but walk, and VERY slowly damages them. ADS is generally used in Team Capture more because it doesn't have much purpose for TDM unless you know how to use it very well. You also can't shoot while using ADS. Blitz, on the other hand, is a type of full body shield that covers pretty much your whole front body when you activate it (You're still vulnerable from the back). It blocks bullets and makes you move a significant amount faster. It also knocks down enemies when you get close to them so it's a good way to obliterate a group of enemies. (More efficient if you have someone watching your back and coming up to kill all the knocked down enemies).

-Side note: Assault devices are not like recon devices. If you use them and only use half the charge, you still have to charge the whole thing up again. Blackout (a support device) will also make you charge the whole thing up again.
