Anelyn, Thanks for taking the time to post your findings. I still need to try some of the scenarios. The cantina is kind of a weak point as far as lack of control. You seem to have a really nice work around however. :104:

Once you have more than 1 cantina is impossible to anticipate what will get into the mealmaker and when because as you get more colonists and carrier robots, stuff will get carried from one place to another with unpredictable patterns. What I do once I have my basic production / accomodation / resources set and decide to grow - is to plant fast growing pea & rice - good for salads, burgers and pasta, and then setup tomatoes and lettuce (good for salads and pasta) until I get GM onions / tomatoes. This way am assured that no matter what happens, the food rotations in mealmakers (normally I have 6 at 2 large cantinaes for example), there will be some salads, pasta and burgers mixed in no matter from which storehouse / biodome / lab products are carried to feed the mealmakers and when.

Salads to me are the Devil. I do not like how the timing works for the different Veg and it does not mix in the meal maker well. I like to have all 3 meats and soem wheat, Maze, and something like rice. I am curious if the storage helps distribute to Meal Maker but have yet to find this out for sure.

thnx for the guide on what your configuration you use in your meal maker... i used to suffer malnutrition problems since i used to build every type of food lol... and now im focusing on small ingredients that would lessen the chances of producing basic meals... rice pads+wheats seems a must in order to get higher chances of pasta or burgers.. then i just used tomato+onions instead of shrooms+maizen and i still dont get any problems getting pasta or burger, with occasional salads...
