General fast castle (no deer)

basic fc into stable made with saracens for no eco bonus. + some random information. no deer used. in sp done with 16:08(30pop). thats 3sec behind ideal 16:05 so only 3 sec idle tc in total. transitioning of vills reduced to a min. in mp with some lag and delayed reources it still should be ~16:30

allways keep your tc running.
keep your wood count low untill you need it.
dont kill more sheeps at the same time.
keep at last 6 vills on one shep if possible on boar even more to not loose to much to the roting
process.
keep vill walking ways at a minimum. think where you send your vills for less transitioning

the build

step by step. population in brackets starting with the scout and allready existing vills to keep it easy.

(01) scout -> scout in circles
(02) villager -> build together with
(03) villager -> one house
(04) villager -> build another house alone
(05) villager -> sheep
(06) villager -> sheep
(07) villager -> sheep
(08) villager -> build lumber camp -> wood
(09) villager -> wood
(10) villager -> wood
(11) villager -> wood
(12) villager -> get one boar
(if you made no loom untill here, the vill will arrive with the boar just when the 4th sheep is getting finished)
(13) villager -> build house -> build mill -> berries
(14) villager -> boar
(15) villager -> boar
(you should have enough wood by now to start transitioning vills from boar to farm. Keep on doing farms untill you have 8 once you are klicking up)
(16) villager -> getting second boar
(if boar is finished put the vills on sheep)
(17) villager -> build house -> go to berries
(18) villager -> farm
(19) villager -> wood
(20) villager -> build secon lumber camp -> wood
(21) villager -> wood
(22) villager -> build house -> berries
(23) villager -> wood
(24) villager -> wood
(25) villager -> berries
(26) villager -> build mining camp -> gold
(27) villager -> gold
(28) villager -> gold
research loom
advance to feudal
by now you should have 8 farmer, 4 forrager, 9 lumberjacks, 3 goldminer, 3 shepherds
when the last sheep has gone one shepheard build barracks the other 2 go to lumber or work on a stragler untill you hit feudal. when the barrack is finished the vill go to the same place as the other two.

hints

if you want to boom its recomended to go up with market and blacksmith instead of barracks, stable and blacksmith. you save wood so you can build more tcs at once and you can buy stone so you can even ad a 4th one soon. also you can farm more.
i loomed very late. it is recomended to do it a bit earlyer on open maps. maybe after the first boar. or when you find your resource late even earlyer to prevent idle tc. a drush could be there at 9-11min. also boars are dangerous especialy down hill.
following things depend on upgrades and civ
you need 6-8vills on gold for one stable constand knts
you need ~6 farmers to keep one stable running constant
you need 6-7 farmers to keep one tc bussy
this build will also work with other civs. but check out the bonuses. some example
brits are gathering sheep faster. only 5 vills needed
mongols hunt faster you will runn out of boar ways faster
maya start with 4 vill you have to loom at once. also the resource last longer you can farm less and the timing when sheep/boar are gone will be diffrent
celt will give you more wood.. you may have to much
chinese complet diffrent
azteck you may have to drop food more often since they gather 15 instead of 10 food in dark age on sheep
dont kill the boar miles away with goths
you can start more farms with franks at once since the farm ug is free
viks get very strong eco in feudal you will hit castle a lot harder with them. 2 stables? insta 4 tc?

First off I'm 1800, so yes I'm a noob, but you should almost never mill 3 deer, the exposure, limited amount of wood early on, and long walking times means it's not worth it.

Also it's crappy to have a guide that only works sometimes, you don't always have lurable deer, and even when you do your scout has more important things to do.

If it's supposedly always worth it, why is it only 1 in 20 games a pro Mills 4 deer, and 1 in 50 that they mill a 3 deer?

@Darkbringer35 You know, on teamgame exposed deer spot will be killed by scouts. Aswell you will have 4 vills very far and once the deer is finished you want to have something to do for them.

@theJarlofred hunting is the fastest form of food in the game. It's always worth collecting the free 450 food off of even a small deer patch. Milling deer is totally worth it, its only 100 wood you noob. Just be smarter with your lumber jack placement and they literally collect it for free anyways. Luring deer is always possible, you just have to be fast.
