=Background=
As the last tree in the Rainforest is wiped out, an Alien Race known as the Xidus takes over the Earth's EM Waves & announce that they've come to enslave the entire Human Race. Since the Federation has a large Armada, their plan is to send a Single Epsilon-Class Stellar Interceptor to take down the entire Xidus Armada.
7. Galactix - Hints
Xidus Damage Table:
Rockets = Deals Minor Damage. If you can dodge these no problem. you're good.
Yellow Pulse Gun = Moderate Damage. Keep Clear & you'll be okay.
Small Plasma = High Damage. Don't get hit by these if you value your Firepower.

Asteroids = Heavy Damage! Found in the Asteroid Belt Stages, They can't be destroyed by Gun Fire or Missles. These Will Hurt alot if you hit one of them!

Missiles = Heavy Damage. Found at Stage 100, You'd better steer clear of these!

Large Plamsa = Found at Stages 49 & 100. Avoid at all cost since it shaves off alot of Health!

Bonus Points:
If you Finish Stage 50 or 100 in one piece, whatever Bombs & Missiles you have left will be added to your score.

Easy Levels/Evade Asteroid Belts:
Be sure to use your Bombs to get past the Asteroids/Bypass Levels/Weaken Bosses.

Mid/Final Boss Stratagy:
Be sure to save your Missiles and Bombs for the Bosses at Stage 49 & 100. Dodge the Large Plasma Shots and Missiles as best as you can as they will deal alot of damage to your ship.

Regeneratable Gun Turret:
After finishing Half the game, your ship will get a new Green Coat of Paint and a Reneratable Gun Turret. If you lose this Turret, don't worry. You'll get it back at the start of the Next Level.

Full Power:
Try to get all 3 Gun Turrets as Early as possible. When you do, the first half of the game should be easy and try not to get below the Green/Yellow or Red Health as you will lose your Extra Turrets. So do your best not to take any damage once you have all 3 Extra Turrets.

Demonstar SFX/New Music:
The Windows Version which can be ordered online or Free to Try for 30 Days at the Mountain King Studios HP, uses SFX from the Demonstar Games & an all new Music Track.

Released: 1992 Mountain King Studios
1 Player 2D Shooter
Tagline: "Save the Rainforest!"

NOTE: This game is BOTH Shareware & Freeware. For some reasons if you want to play either the Windows or MS-DOS Version. The Windows Shareware Version has only 15 Levels, is Free to Try for 30 Days & after such time, you would have to Remove it from your system or Order it from the Mountain King Studios HP for $5.

As for the MS-DOS Version is Unrestricted with the Honesty to pay for it. As for Galactix Version 1.5, it can be found by entering the following Search: Galac15.zip. While the DOS Version was being sold, some of the money would pay for it would go to saving the Rainforest.

The Keyboard and Mouse also work in the DOS Version. They both play the same way. The final DOS Version of Galactix was Version 1.5 where versions before it was Unrestricted as it was the Full Game.

The Windows Version has updated music and sounds from the DemonStar Games where its always a Trial Run Shareware lasting for a month and limited to the first 15 levels until you buy the game which costs $5. The Downside is that you can't use the Mouse Wheel Button to launch your claw.

So if you want the DOS Version, searching for Galac15.zip should work.

The DOS Version is Shareware but unrestricted while the Windows Version is limited to a Monthly Trial Duration and to the First 15 Levels.

I too dont understand why this guide was made...its 2 diff games and the guide creator is kinda asking users to mess up the install for 1 game to enjoy another...its just not logical to do so

Here's my intro to this game.

= YEAR 2019
Oh great. In 3 more years, we'll be under attack by Space Aliens bent on conquering the earth and enslaving mankind... *sighs* I guess I should start looking into Early Forced Retirement Benefits...

@pinguliten: You can play Galactix in DOSBOX by changing the Config File Temp, just set Cycles to Max & the Core to Dynamic, and that's it.
