Ok. Then I live in an exceptional state because I didn't see old time colors for years.

@GordonDry: you are wrong. The colour for all German Taxis IS "HELLELFENBEIN" ( required by law §26 BOKraft). The federal states can apply for exception, but only six of them made use of it so far. In Berlin you won't find another colour.

"Hellelfenbein" is no more the default color of german taxis.
For 10 years now.
95% of them are silver metallic, plastered with commercial, 5% like dark blue, black etc.
The last time I've seen a taxi without commercial overload was in the 90s, that short area where the social economy was not already dead but the neoliberalism was not yet established.
In these days I was able to lift my hand and get a first generation MB 600 taxi.
Today no more 600s as taxis.
