Chapter One
Chap one out of 5

The pipe-bomb-man, Gucci grenadier, explosive dude, explosive man, gib maker, mist man,Demolitionist, demolition expert, demo man ETC whatever you want to call him. A very effective class for killing large groups of smaller Zeds (Clots, Gorefasts, Crawlers, Sirens,) but also fleshpounds.

An effective early game load-out would be the M79 Grenade Launcher mixed with Pipe Bombs and an off-perk secondary (usually a Pistol or a Lever Action Rifle) to help keep large masses of trash out of the way, but also having a close quarters weapon handy. Later on, the M4-203 and the M32 Grenade Launcher mixed in with some well placed pipe bombs is more than enough to last you through the game. The M79 and M32 with pipe bombs is also a good loadout. Maybe even a Gucci machete if you feel like it(its not much more effective than the knife, but it can still decapitate enemies with its alt attack. On Normal it can kill a gorefast in a single alt attack to the head, separating his head(and his soul) from his body.

There is quite a selection for the Demolitionist's weapons, with eight total in the game. We haven't gotten to test out the Seeker Six yet, but the Harpoon Launcher and the Orca Bomb Propeller have been used.

---Base Weapons---
The M79 is a good weapon, though you only get one shot before needing to reload. Aiming it towards the center of a group is generally the best advise, especially if you can get a height advantage to it. The M79 deals the same damage as the M32 and the Seal Squeal Harpoon Launcher.

The M32 is the bigger can of whoop ass. This bad mare is a FIERCE one; It uses Grenades just like the M79, but has a revolving six canister holster that can be fired in rapid succession. The only negative side is that the reload takes BUCKING AGES if reloading more than a few grenades as each grenade case is ejected and inserted manually. The M32's ability to wipe out a horde of Zeds, or even a pair of Fleshpounds is almost unrivalled. Definitely one of the favorited weapons.
The LAW Rocket Launcher. Strongest ranged Demolitionist weapon in the game. Medium ammo reserve, high speed, high damage. This weapon is generally your "Kill the big boys" gun, and is one of the more expensive weapons in the game. Unlike with the other weapons, you need to be aiming in order to shoot it, which is a bit of a hinderance at times.
M4-203. A modded M4 Carbine Rifle with grenade launcher attachment. A very handy tool if you don't want to off perk another weapon, but still have something to deal with close quarters enemies. The Alt-Fire does not switch from Semi-Auto mode to Full Auto mode, instead it fires the grenades.

Your Hand Grenades (As most perks would have) are a higher powered version of the regular grenades. As you level up, they get stronger and you can carry more of them. Nice to use in a tricky situation, and can be paired up with the M32 or another rapid fire/high powered Demolitionist weapon to easily kill bigger Zeds.
The Pipe Bombs are kind of your "Jack of all Trades" weapon. Useful for killing just about everything. Strongest weapon in the game (Aside from the M99 AMR,) but also highly limited and a bit on the expensive side. Most players will prefer to save this weapon for larger Zeds (Scrakes and Fleshpounds) or stack them for the Patriarch fight. Some even do a silly trick called the "Pipe bomb hat" to suicide into the Patriarch for massive damage. Sirens' screams will defuse the Pipe Bombs (as well as all other explosives,) and the Patriarch's Rocket can pre-maturely detonate them. As well as enemy fire balls and enemies that are on fire.
Chapter Two - DLC guns (excluding the camo launchers)
  • Seal squad : This harpoon launcher holds 3 timed explosive harpons(reminds me of black ops2 crossbow) the can be fired all 3 of them before the first one is detonated so it is possible to stack and combine deadly combos of death and is a well known choice (if not good) for demo its DAM is the same as the M79 M32 and the NOOBTUBE(M4203) at 350

Typically this weapon isn't very good, esp on higher difficulties, but if your just wanting to have fun than its not a bad weapon provided your using it from afar as due to the nature of its function this is by far the worst weapon to use against Zeds in CQB combat, mainly the faster ones like gorefast and crawlers.

  • ORCA : This does a little less damage than the M79 but its still a viable option for the demo the grenades will rebound off walls so use this to your advantage and bounce around corners to get hordes of unsuspecting enemies or that annoying flesh pound its reload is slower than the M79 but the ORCA at close range well explode after a set time instead of no detonation. The Orca Bomb Propeller is a very unique weapon. It functions similarly to the M79, with a single round chamber that fires off a egg shaped grey Grenade that will bounce on the ground a few times before stopping. This grenade will not go off if shot point-blank, and will explode on contact after a certain distance/number of bounces is met. The Orca often is able to succeed in areas the M79 fails, sometimes it can be even better than the M79, but for the most part they are on power with each other, if you carry both the orca and the M79 at the same time, you can carry up to 48 grenades between both launchers with a full stockpile.

  • Seeker six the lowest DAMAGE in class it favors look ons and fires all six at a time with middle mouse of alt fire for 540 DAMThe Seeker Six has the lowest damage in the class, but benefits very well from a full lock-on for the six-round cylinder it carries. It can be fired one at a time, or all six at once. Very niche weapon, not commonly seen. --DLC Guns
The Seal Squeal Harpoon Launcher is a special kind of Demolitionist weapon; It carries a three-round magazine for the gun, which shoots out a Harpoon to stick into the target or object. After a set time, it will explode, dealing damage (and even possible to stun Scrakes.) All three rounds can be fired off before the first one explodes, stacking the damage. The Harpoon Launcher is an alright choice, but uncommonly picked up.

Demo disadvantages
  • is a class that has expensive weps
  • its not a close quarters guy
  • needs to be careful when using his guns

  • can BLOW HIMSELF UP (not as easily as the other classes, but danger close is not advised unless you are in dire circumstances.)

  • he also dosent do so well alone(when big MONSTERS GET CLOSE!)

  • Requires at least one other teammate to be effective.
  • Struggles at close quarter combat, often times dealing damage to themselves without another sidearm. Which buying a Side arm or secondary weapon like an AK or pistol eats up more Valuable Dosh
  • You can still damage yourself with your own explosives, unlike the Firebug.
  • "Spray and Pray" with the Grenades cause smoke, which can blind teammates. Severely hinders Sharp Shooters and other classes that require precise shots
  • If your not careful you will blow yourself up kid!
  • Much like with Explosives in real life many people Assume their smarter than they Actually are so Demo man is a class that you have to take Extreme care with when playing.

Demo advantges
  • Advantages:
  • Clears crowds very quickly.
  • Deals with Fleshpounds easily.
  • Access to cheaper Pipe Bombs to help deal with larger Zeds.
  • Has explosive resistance, some-what useful against the Patriarch.

  • goes good with a team

  • PIPEbombs for the final boss

  • this is an amazing class that makes great use of THE L.A.W (did you know you get a DAM bonus as the COPS) just KIDDING I wish THOGH

  • the PATTIES rockits are less effective on you so at leval six they are inafective(unless directly hit then you die)
  • Pipe bombs themselves are immune to explosives damage, excluding the Patriarch's rockets, and as such will not detonate as a result of taking damage from grenades, explosive projectile launchers or other pipe bombs, preventing potentially dangerous chain reactions. However, more than one pipe bomb may still detonate from the same threat, and in this case the damage stacks.

Good luck, and have fun!

Criminally important facts and tips!
  • Hit Bloats directly(in the head) they soak up more explosives Damage then any other Zed, besides the scrake or the flesh pound. But Bloats have explosive resistance.
  • stack grenades before firing.
  • Hit all target directly you will do more Damage
  • Combine pipebombs and dont stand next to them but lead targets into them and you can kill 2 fleshpounds with 1-2 of them but combining them with other pipebombs can turn the tide of battle
  • stand back from all Zeds, the Patriarch will kill you if you dont stand back
  • if its not the final wave then weld a door and place a pipebomb or 2 then place some more 3 meters back to kill!
  • never go alone (IF possible)
  • Fleshpounds take %25 more Damage aginst all grenade launchers and no Damage resistances against LAWs also grenade launchers still have a headshot bonus
  • every Pipebomb after the first one will do 7.5% less DAMAGE against the patriarch, than the last so with 14 pipebombs in quick session will eventually do no damage. the others after wont do any more DAMAGE SO WATCH OUT!
  • a headshot with grenade launcher will kill a husk on any diff
its possible to kill patty soley with pipebombs but you need to space them out like give them 10 yards or five each cuse the Damage resistance is tempary.
  • head-shots are inportant to.
  • If being chased by A Huge horde and theres a door nearby get Inside and weld it and then place Pipebombs 1 to 2 then run out the other side of the building or upstairs and jump if its not that far of a fall BUT WAIT untill there inside or add a trail of pipebombs before jumping.
  • USE lever action rifle
Dont stand next to your own pipebombs dont place them In a pile
cuse 7.5% damage is reduced for every bomb in that pile and eventuly one pipebomb will do no Damage.
  • never unweld door that has pipebomb on it dont aim at the pipebomb with welder
