CTNX - Tier IV Data Center

Omschrijving
Intradat Systems proudly presents the ultimate solution in IT infrastructure, data security and power management. This Tier IV Gold certified facility is completely self-reliant and will safeguard your city during DDoS attacks, power outages, hurricanes and floods.

------------

Update 27-9: Crime hotfix. The building still attracts a decent amount of workers, but should no longer be flagged as a criminal hotspot.

Update 25-9: This asset has been updated to work with the After Dark day/night cycle. An added bonus is it still relies on the pre-patch solar power template, meaning it will always produce power!

The facility requires a highly educated workforce and water for the cooling units to operate normally. Two Data Centers can be placed back to back, forming a very large 12x26 facility.

The servers in this building generate a lot of heat, which is effectively contained and converted back into electricity. Each building has UPS systems, solar panels and generators capable of supplying 128MW. It's not really intended as a primary power source, since a large amount is needed for keeping the servers online.

Intradat governs the world's biggest array of network access hubs and internet exchange points. According to a 2028 BizTech article Intradat has 478 facilities in 31 countries, distributing over 9000 exabytes in one year alone. Intradat has repeatedly been accused of illegal data trading through subsidiary companies*. These claims are currently being investigated by Interpol's Cybercrime Department and the FBI.

If you hadn't guessed, this building does not exist. It's inspired by real life facilities, most notably the SUPERNAP structures in Nevada and the Terremark building in Miami. These 21st century fortresses are used by service providers, governments and even military organizations.

Hi! Is there an option to turn it into RICO office?

I love the backstory and look of the building and it can be very fun to use in cities

As someone who is currently working in such building, the power generation much more of a back up power source as its generators burn a lot of fuel, which is a more expensive source of power than what public utilities supply. Granted, I live in Quebec city where power is really cheap so it might not be that way everywhere, still the data center has a max output sufficient for a city of 300 000 people so, yes, it could be used as a power plant, if and only if it is not used fully as a data center as it needs that power for itself.

I wish it actually multiplied the amount of energy you got as having a static increase of power due to "power managment" is kinda unrealistic. Great mod anyway

Thank you for the heads up, let me check to see how I can fix this. Do you have Green Cities?

As of November 30, 2017, this asset does not work and usually appears blank with no contribution to your cities. It's broken.

Is this compatible with the latest update?
