Electronics Panel - small blocks on large grid

This mod adds 2 largeship blocks (5x5 and 4x4 plate) that allows placing of smallship blocks (only a select list) onto them.

Survival ready, construction models, paintable.

Main reason I made this was because I really hate how just one timer takes up so much space on large ships and I wanted to have a panel with logic stuff without having to reserve an entire room for something like that.

These blocks are essentially rotors which I'm swapping the largeship top part with a smallship top part as soon as it's placed. After that the "safety lock override" option is automatically enabled.


Place the "Electronics Panel" block on any largeship/station and then weld both parts (the base and the PCB) to ensure integrity but it's not really required for the stabilization.

Now you can build small blocks onto it by simply aiming at its front plate.

Currently these are allowed:
Types: ProgrammableBlock, Timer, InteriorLight, ReflectorLight, Battery, Button, SoundBlock, TextPanel, LCDPanelsBlock, Sensor, RadioAntenna, LaserAntenna, Beacon, Camera, Projector, CustomTurretController, EventController, PathRecorder, BasicMissionBlock, FlightMovementBlock, DefensiveCombatBlock, OffensiveCombatBlock, EmotionController, ExhaustBlock, HeatVent, Transponder (action relay), BroadcastController.
(Mods using these types are also allowed to be placed on the electronics panel)

Specific block series: Neon, Symbols, Signs, AccessPanels, Scaffold, ConsoleModule, Plushies.
(Mods that add to these series while using the same subtype pattern will also be allowed)

Specific mod type+subtypes are allowed:

I'm also open to requests for this list.

There's also a version that has no block placing limits: Attachments mod.

On the 5x5 panel you can't place full blocks (like vanilla timer) on the edges if a wall is placed directly next to it. Smaller blocks like PBs and my micro blocks for example can be placed there just fine.
However, there's also the 4x4 variant which is smaller and centered so all edges can be used even when surrounded.
