Remove the Pot
IMPORTANT NOTE: This could also reset your ingame brought stuff.

Close the game first.

Right click in your steam library at Viridi and open the properties.
Browse to the 'Updates' section and deactivate the 'Steam Cloud synchronization'.
Then browse to the 'Local Files' section and click 'Browse local files...' (first button).

Browse into the folder 'Viridi_Data' and delete the following files: (Note: Files with the last alteration date)
  • fart.dat
  • settings.dat
  • sc.dat
  • planterInfo.dat
  • output_log.txt

That's it. ^^

Start the game and now you are able to choose a new pot with new plants.

Thanks to bigh for the forgotten note of the Steam Cloud.

"They have backup files files for the planter info, you need to delete those too."
This. Removing sc.dat + backup A and B, planterInfo.dat + backup A and B and settings.dat worked for me

Is there a work around for this yet? I'm on a Mac, and so when going to "Browse Local Files..." I have only 3:

~ Viridi
~ steam_api.lib
~ steam_api.dll

All the plants in my OG pot died and I would love to simply start over with a pre-made pot if possible.

They have backup files files for the planter info, you need to delete those too. That's what I did and it worked...heh

@ Flippy : I'm sorry to hear that the tutorial isn't working anymore for the latest update. Thank you sharing this information. :lovebubble:
I will investigate a new method to reset the pots and update the tutorial as soon as possible. :steamhappy:

Doesn't work with the current update. All it did was bring back the last plant I had (Fully grown+useless), delete my newest plant, and reset my new plant countdown. I'm worse off than before.

@ bigh : Thanks for the note. I've forgotten to write this down - I've added it to the guide.
@ Le curé de camaret : You're welcome.
