Introduction
So, I just got an idea one day, "I'll make a guide for GEARCRACK Arena for all of the confused people that try to play it! It'll be SO popular!"

Then, before I knew it, the game went off of Steam... Well, I still had a rough idea as to how I'd like to do it... So, here it goes, the GEARCRACK Arena Basics!
The Menu
You start up the game and then you realize that if you have headphones on, you're gonna feel like you just died. This sound that plays at the very beginning is actually part of one of the songs used throughout the game. Anyways, you're greeted with the title and now you think, "What the hell do I do at this point?"

After you realize you have to just click, you're greeted with a screen - It shows 4 classes and their stats.
You then click on whatever class you want to play as, but I must tell you, each class is different.
The Stats
Before we cover all of the classes, I want to talk about the stats. In GEARCRACK Arena, you have three main stats:

Armor:
The higher this is, the more shots you can take from enemies. Some say that this stat doesn't really matter, but it does. If you had no armor, you'd die from one shot.

P.L.C. Cells:
Your main weapon is your Gun/Sword Thingie (That's just what I call it) and this is your ammo. If you have three P.L.C. Cells, for example, you can only fire your gun three times.

Hacking:
Upon pressing Space, you can hack certain bots so they stop firing. Here is how it works - You have a one in (Hacking Number) that your Hacking skill will malfunction. If it does malfunction, you can't use it again till the wave is completed. Hacking will stop all enemies except enemies with round armor (Which is hard to tell which ones have this at a glance).

Okay, now that we got the stats out of the way, we can discuss the classes.
The Classes
Hardboiled:
Hardboiled is what I call the Tank class. It strives with high armor, but suffers with low P.L.C. Cells and Hacking.

Strives in: Defense (Armor)

Rogue:
Rogue is your class with the most P.L.C. Cells, but has low armor and Hacking. If you end up losing all of your P.L.C. Cells, you're kinda screwed because you have to rely on your crap armor and your low Hacking skill.

Strives in: Damage (P.L.C. Cells)

Wired:
Wired is your class to Hack. He has high Hacking Skill, so you can handle some waves pretty easily. However, he has only a few P.L.C. Cells and low armor, so if your Hacking malfunctions, you're basicly screwed.

Strives in: Hacking

Wanderer:
The Wanderer is a class that can move very fast, so it's easy to melee enemies. He is a better version of the Rogue, but only if you're planning to go melee. What makes him better? He has higher Armor and Hacking, but has lower P.L.C. Cells. This class is meant to played melee, so it works out.

Strives in: Speed (No specific stat)

Okay, so, you have learned about the classes, so now it's time we check out the gameplay, which can be aggravating to many new players.
Gameplay
Okay, so, you have chosen your class... At first glance, you may be confused as to what you must do.

The first wave is you versus one robot. Since there isn't much going on, take this time to get used how the game works.

Basic Controls:
Obviously, you use WASD to move around and use your mouse to aim.

Melee:
You can just walk up to an enemy a click the Left Mouse Button to do a simple spin attack. NOTE: You don't have to aim at all to do a melee attack.

Shooting:
You must click the Right Mouse Button to aim. Your crosshair will turn red when your aiming. Once aiming, you can click the Left Mouse Button to shoot. You can't shoot unless you're aiming, so remember that.

Hacking:
You press Space to Hack. If you have read about Hacking in the Stats Section, you should be good to go with Hacking.

See? It's not so hard to play! Now, I will be sharing a few tactics I've picked up as I played.
Tactics
These are just some great ways of clearing waves faster.

"The Distraction":
As you're Hacking, shoot the enemies that aren't effected - It's the best way to get rid of them.

The "Head Start":
Hack as soon as you enter a new wave. Trust me, it helps.

"Can't Touch This!":
Whenever trying to avoid the line of fire, just hold two keys at a time. For example, W&D or W&A.

The "Terminator":
When Hacking, run to the spot with the most enemies and spam your melee. It'll clear 'em out fast.

Well, there you go! There are just a few tactics to help you in GEARCRACK Arena.
Conclusion
Yes, I know this may not be a popular guide due to the fact that it's no longer on the Steam Store, but it was still fun to figure this stuff out. I personally think that GEARCRACK Arena isn't a horrid game like people make it out to be. I think you just gotta invest some time into the game to learn about how it plays. It can actually be kinda addictive sometimes!

This is still one of my first guides, so please tell me how I did! I plan on making more guides in the future!

I haven't played in ages, but I'm pretty sure it's infinite. Maybe I'll reinstall it and play it a little bit to see, if you'd want, haha.

Weird question on an obscure guide for a more obscure game but, wasn't able to find anything on it. Is gearcrack infinite or does it have a limited amount of levels?

Glad it could help you! Wasn't really aware too many people still play this game, but it's really fun as long as you know what you're doing!
