Overview
🔸ᴇxᴘ loss: death penalties for ourselves and pets
🔹ᴇxᴘ gain: leveling solo, with team or with pets; and various methods to increase ᴇxᴘ bonus



🔸ᴇxᴘ loss
Dying incurs a loss in ᴇxᴘ which can go into negative values up to -50%. It will also imbue our character with a [ᴡᴇᴀᴋɴᴇss] debuff for one and a half minutes (reduced max ʜᴘ and max ᴍᴘ)

To remove our weakness, we can interact with the [ʀᴇʙɪʀᴛʜ sᴛᴏɴᴇ] located at any major cities; normally seen in close proximity to the re-spawning area; or eat a piece of [ᴇɴᴇʀɢʏ ᴄʜɪʟɪ]

In exchange for gold, the stone will also restore our lost ᴇxᴘ.



Alternative re-spawning methods
Typically, dying sends us back to which ever [ʀᴇʙɪʀᴛʜ sᴛᴏɴᴇ] we are bound to. To avoid winding back, other players equipped with the skill [ʙᴏʀɴ ᴀɢᴀɪɴ] from Doctor can resurrect us on the spot. They can also use a consumable [ᴘʜᴏᴇɴɪx's ᴛᴇᴀʀ]

If we are by ourselves, certain consumables such as Bronze, Silver or Gold Resurrection Medals can be used to revive ourselves immediately.


ᴇxᴘ loss protection
The Resurrection Medals, Tears and doctor skill mentioned above can also mitigate a small% of the lost ᴇxᴘ. If we have unlocked the Merchant class, we can use the skill [ᴜɴᴅᴇʀᴡʀɪᴛᴇ ʟɪꜰᴇ ɪɴsᴜʀᴀɴᴄᴇ] to craft an item that will reduce the amount of ᴇxᴘ lost upon death.


ᴄʜᴇᴀᴛɪɴɢ ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ
The [sᴄᴀᴘᴇɢᴏᴀᴛ ᴅᴏʟʟ] is a consumable item that is automatically used when our ʜᴘ = 0; it restores ʜᴘ back to full, [ᴡᴇᴀᴋɴᴇss] is not applied, and no ᴇxᴘ is lost.


ᴇxᴘ ʟᴏss ꜰᴏʀ ᴘᴇᴛs
Unlike us, a pet's ᴇxᴘ cannot go into the negative values. However, it will still lose some ᴇxᴘ and its [ʟᴏʏᴀʟᴛʏ] will be reduced. This loss occurs if our pet was fighting and died; or if it was summoned and we died. A pet doesn't lose anything if it was unsummoned.

The process of gaining ᴇxᴘ is as simple as grinding monsters or completing quests. When engaging in combat, the exp received fluctuates based on our level range in comparison to the monster's:

SHARING EXP WITH A TEAM
Being in a party with other players creates an ᴇxᴘ network where the more people joining the fight, the more ᴇxᴘ can be gained. This network functions by gathering the ᴇxᴘ generated by all members and redistributing it equally amongst the party. A healer who is not engaging in direct combat will receive a share of this ᴇxᴘ just like everyone else.

Teammates can also take advantage of ᴇxᴘ badges and rings, up to total of +100% team ᴇxᴘ.

Party members can experience a level gap with one another; whereas if the lowest and highest leveled people in our team have a level difference of 9 or more, there will be an ᴇxᴘ disruption. The lower person will either need to level up to catch up, or the highest one can change class or fight outside the team. This disruption is indicated by an [!] mark over a teammate's profile.



SHARING EXP WITH A PET
ɢɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴇxᴘ ᴛᴏ ᴘᴇᴛ
As long as the pet is summoned and its ᴇxᴘ setting is enabled, a pet can receive ᴇxᴘ from us no matter the level difference between them and our character.

ʀᴇᴄᴇɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴇxᴘ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴘᴇᴛ
Pets can give their ᴇxᴘ to us while engaging in combat if their level is contained within a certain range: if they are 5 levels lower or higher than us, no ᴇxᴘ will be gained. The ᴇxᴘ share ratio can be adjusted within the pet's settings.

ᴘᴇᴛ sᴇᴛᴛɪɴɢs: ᴇxᴘ ᴅɪsᴛʀɪʙᴜᴛɪᴏɴ

0% → no ᴇxᴘ for pet, all for us 25% → 25% ᴇxᴘ for pet, 75% for us 50% → 50/50 75% → 75% ᴇxᴘ for pet, 25% for us 100% → all ᴇxᴘ goes to pet, none for us



INCREASING EXP BONUS
sᴇʀᴠᴇʀ ʙᴏɴᴜs
A server bonus is generated by the accumulation of gold donations made by many players throughout the week. The monies are consolidated prior to maintenance and applies the bonus when the game is ready to play. Donations can be observed with the [ᴇᴠᴇɴᴛ sᴛᴀᴛᴜᴇ ᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴀᴄᴛᴏʀ] in Eversun City 117, 160

❈ This feature was removed in a previous update, and replaced with weekly predefined bonus.

ᴋɪɴɢ ᴄᴏʟᴇᴛᴛᴇ's ʙʟᴇssɪɴɢ
This free blessing can be used 4 times or more, everyday. It is located within the journal [ᴄᴛʀʟ+ᴄ]; indistinguishably hidden as the 4 links in the bottom-left corner: [ᴡᴇʙsɪᴛᴇ], [ᴘʀᴏꜰɪʟᴇ], [ᴡɪᴋɪ] and [ᴏꜰꜰɪᴄɪᴀʟ ꜰᴏʀᴜᴍs]. Clicking one of those activates a +50% ᴇxᴘ bonus of random duration (up to 10 minutes) and can be stacked for a maximum of 100%. Dotted lines will appear around the links when a new buff is available!

ᴄᴏɴsᴜᴍᴀʙʟᴇs
ᴇxᴘ bonus pills, badges and rings can also be equipped to increase our bonus up to +100%, which can be further enhanced by combining it with the server bonus, for a maximum of +200%. Once in a while, a GM can activate a [sᴜʙᴀ sʜɪɴʏ] in Eversun City that grants a temporary ᴇxᴘ boost. (Dying or using the skill [ᴡɪᴛʜᴇʀᴇᴅ ᴇᴀʀᴛʜ] removes our shiny buff)

⁜ Server bonus +50% + a 100% badge = +150% total (below the 200% limit)
⁜ Server bonus +225% (above the limit). We can enjoy this special bonus without using personal items.
