To start with,pike and bass are both 2 realy fun fish to catch.Actualy,they are my favorite!!!They are also the fastest way to make money in the game.You want to catch the biggest one?Im here for you...
You should use a casting rod for lure fishing.You unlock the first one at level 5.For the lures,wait to be level 5 too to unlock the shads and the jig heads.To use a shad,you need a jig head.Also,at level 5 you will unlock the bass jigs wich can be greath but i prefer shads.At level 3 and 4 you will also unlock lures,but not big enought for trophy bass or trophy pike.This is why you should be level 5 before hunting the trophy bass and pike!

For bass,he will be hunting his pray in the weed.Thats where you want to cast.Thats why Everglades is such a good place:There is weed EVERYWHERE.Lures: When its sunny,you will want to use white or clear lures.Plastic worms and bass jigs are great but i get better results with shads.Especially with the 3'' (7cm) Red and Yellow one.( A spinner will be better for small mouth)It works in all conditions and its not very expensive.I caught most of my trophy bass doing that.For the line,i use braid,because it is more resistant to shocks.The line i use is about 8lbs.


As i explained for the bass,the shads works great,but spoons are alot better.The bigger the spoon will be the better it will be(might catch less fish but when you will catch one you can be sure its a big one) .Weeds are great spots for pike too,but they will prefer structures in the water.EX: a log.For the spoon,silver for sunny days and gold for cloudy (Red And White Is Deadly For Them).The pike will not hunt his pray.It will just hide and wait for it to pass,so you will want to cast everywhere you see a structure or something like that.For pike,i use fluorocarbon line 6lbs because he is less combative than the bass and you dont want him to see the line.Pike is a bit harder to catch so dont give up to fast.Take note that pike will be alot less active and will go deeper in the water when it will be cold.

Never reel in too fast!
Dont use a too thick line!
Make sure the lure isnt too big for the species you wanna catch!
Those 3 rules are the most important things in fishing planet.Do not forget them!
