Steam Store -search: Tag exclusion
By Tev
For Steam Store user-set tag exclusion; doesn't work for Early Access and such though.

Introduction
While this workaround doesn't work for every tag*, it can be of use for some people who use the search feature a lot.

To put this guide simply, you've only to negate the tag ID in the URL in order to exclude it.

* = For example Free to Play does NOT exclude Team Fortress 2; while it does exclude DOTA 2.

It doesn't work for Early Access (493) and such either; is only for user filters.
Display Steam URL.
To ensure that you will see the URL
Steam > Settings > Interface
    X
Display Steam URL address bar when available
How to use it
To get the Tag ID
Simply include a tag from
http://store.steampowered.com/search/

Action for example is the TAG ID 19, therefore its exclusion is -19.
Indie is 492, therefore its exclusion is -492.

If you want to include action, but exclude indie you can use something like 19,-492
This should look like http://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=19,-492
Client console
The easy way to manipulate the URLs while on the Steam -client is by using its client console.
You can access this easily* by
  1. Holding down your Windows -button and by pressing the R -key.
  2. Type in
    steam://open/console
    (See this): ----->
  3. In the console type in
    open <URL>
    i.e.

* = You can also access console by adding it as a launch parameter to your Steam's shortcut
  1. Exit Steam
  2. Right mouse click your Steam shortcut
  3. Properties
  4. Target -field

      Change this
        "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe"
      to
        "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -console
  5. OK
  6. Try to launch Steam through the shortcut.

i never knew there was a console, this guide proves to be useful in more ways than 1.

I can finally exclude indie titles and get through the meat first.

Was thinking this could've been applied to Early Access too like "NOT Early NOT Access"; but it doesn't seem to work. It works for say Killing Floor, but not for Starbound.

While offtopic,

You can exclude publishers and developers like this,

"Call of Duty NOT Treyarch"
http://store.steampowered.com/search/?snr=1_4_4__12&term=Call+of+Duty+NOT+Treyarch

Black Ops Mac has been developed & published by Aspyr, thus that shows up.

Was actually checking if there's an ID specifically for the Authenticator, but I suppose not.

There is for Big Picture which is 756 and for Steam Achievements (755).

Tried checking this:

I initiated a game guide creation and modified the 753 as its APP-ID.

Basically this:
