Dragoons Bluff

描述
Dragoons Bluff, a resource rich European theme map reminiscent of fantasy landscapes.

It is a fictional landscape that originated from an idea that popped up in my head about a european style map. Tall layered plateaus, flowing hills, sizable lakes and plenty of rivers flowing towards the coastline.

The whole map is handmade using only the map editor tools. It was a perfect exercise for the slope tool which i hadn't used as much in New Atlantis and Springsnake Island.

- All forms of transport are available 4/4, there are 3 areas suited for harbours along the beaches.
- A gratuitous amount of resources in and around the starting area.
- There are several small islands alongside the two waterfalls that are suited for your favourite castles/buildings.
- About 80k trees are used.

Playing your favourite Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones soundtrack while building is highly recommended!

-Second, inside Cities Skylines, in the main menu go to the content manager. And in the category Styles you have to switch on the European/Vanilla option. With this ON you can assign a specific building style to districts in your cities. When you are in-game, make a district. click on it's name to open it's option window and at the bottom you will see the option to change between the default style (in this case European) or Vanilla. If you switch it to Vanilla, all the current and future buildings in the residential/industry/commercial/office zones will change to vanilla.

I have added an extra screenshot above which shows the district style option.

@BrowncoatTrekky It is not possible to change the base theme of an existing map :( There is a way to still use this map and build the normal buildings from the other themes:

-First, subscribe to the mod European Buildings Unlocker, it will enable you to build european style buildings in other base themes and vice versa. So you will be able to build the standard boreal buildings in this european map.

Hi BrowncoatTrekky, do you mean to change the base theme from European to boreal/vanilla? Or simply to be able to build the normal buildings and skyscrapers?

I really like this map. The roads and track layout are interesting, not just straight lines. The rivers and islands adds diverity. But the best part is definately the mountians and waterfalls along the edges. Really gives the city a nice backdrop

At first i thought you used the map for that single screenshot that you posted on Reddit but then a friend told me to look at the official After Dark site for a few more screenshots XD. They look awesome with the sunset colors and the way the mountains and hills fade away in varying shades.

Nice!!! I like the sense of depth that the plateau cliffs form, like in the 2nd to last image
