-Second, inside Cities Skylines, in the main menu go to the content manager. And in the category Styles you have to switch on the European/Vanilla option. With this ON you can assign a specific building style to districts in your cities. When you are in-game, make a district. click on it's name to open it's option window and at the bottom you will see the option to change between the default style (in this case European) or Vanilla. If you switch it to Vanilla, all the current and future buildings in the residential/industry/commercial/office zones will change to vanilla.
I have added an extra screenshot above which shows the district style option.

-First, subscribe to the mod European Buildings Unlocker, it will enable you to build european style buildings in other base themes and vice versa. So you will be able to build the standard boreal buildings in this european map.
