And one thing I want to add that is purely personal but I think that might interest you. Mass Effect 3 offers different endings as you probably already know. I personally love one of the ending, but also really dislike one of the ending possible. What I want to say is that the game is now offering good enough endings on it's own, but whever or not you will enjoy it will still be a matter of opinoin in the end (and depending of your choices)
If you liked the 2 first episodes sure you should play the last one, it would be such a waste to not finish the trilogy.
Since the game came out in 2012 many dlcs also came out and made the game a better experience, and also improved the ending. Luckly for you a dlc was specificaly made to improve the ending and is free to download (the name is simply Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut ).
Most of the comments and opinion you have read about the endings were made before this dlc , and then it was more of a joke to talk badly about the endings of mass effect 3.
The original endings suffered from a very abrupt end that was vastly corrected with this dlc. The ending now is not amazing but it's definitively not awful.
I didn't know what to do yesterday after my previous game crashed, and I decided to play a bit. I talked with Thane it was good time <3
