Introduction
Etherium is a game of territory control to increase economy to expand your army and raise the numerous constraints on what you are able to do whilst holding back your opponent/s and making quick decisions on how you go about this.

There are two ways to win game of Etherium but numerous paths to accomplish this. The most common is to destroy your enemies HQ. All factions on a map start with one HQ and expand your territory from there. Another is to blow your enemies Fleet out of orbit by working your way up the tech levels and placing orbital cannons as your territory extensions. It is up to you to decide whether it is worth the short term sacrifice of using up extension/s for a drawn out win.

The decisions to be made by you are do you increase your logistics to increase the size of your army? Do you work your way up the tech levels to get more powerful and diverse units, and even making your way to huge war machines that can turn the tide of battle? Do you race to persuade sub-factions to rally to your cause and side with you? Do you expand or do you dig in? Do push the front lines or air drop units behind enemy lines for sabotage?

You are constantly making these decisions and it doesn’t let up.
Game Mechanics
Territory capture
All maps are divided into territories ready for you to capture. You will start off with one comms infantry and right away you must make a decision on which territory you want to capture first. There is a point in each area that your comms infantry must to, to begin the capture. It takes a while and takes greater damage if the enemy decides to attack the point whilst you do this. If you want to capture more you must deploy more comms infantry.

Outposts and Colonies
The two territory types are outposts, which give you one extension slot, and colonies, which provide you with three.

Etherium
Etherium is the one resource you will need to deploy units and build extensions. Only some territories have Etherium deposits to mine. Once you have captured the territory you must spend 100 Etherium by clicking on the icon that appears above the Etherium and wait for mining to begin before your Etherium income increases. There is no upper limit to how much you can store and a deposit never runs out. It is measured in income over 1 minute.

Tip: Like any RTS, usually the player who expands their economy the most wins, but only if the resources are spent expanding your army and capabilities. Sitting on a huge bank balance does not win you the game.

Orbital Fleet destruction
A less common way to win is to create orbital cannon extensions and reduce your opponent’s fleet health bar down to 0 first. The state of yours and your opponent’s fleet health is displayed at the top of your screen with one bar being red and the other blue. You are notified when your opponent begins to attack your fleet, when its health gets to 75%, then 50% then 25%. If your opponent begins a fleet attack you must decide to either push for their HQ or create one more orbital cannon to beat them in the race.

Tip: If you have reached tech level 4 and your opponent decides to dig in hard and you believe you can spare an extension or two, it can be worth building an orbital cannon or two to put your opponent under pressure to push out or sacrifice more extensions of their own.

Division Promotion

Population capacity
To begin with you are only able to deploy a maximum four divisions at a time. Each logistics center created increases your population cap by three each time, up to a maximum of 16. Each time a comms infantry division is used to capture a territory, you will get one space back to deploy another division.

Turrets
For each captured territory, you are able to place up to three turrets in any combination of your choice within the area with the exception of the Vectide Empire, who can place up to four.

Cover
All maps have vegetation were you can hide infantry within and receive a defence bonus when they are attacked. They are revealed to your opponent when their infantry enters the vegetation or a watchtower is placed within range. Vectide Empire receive a greater defence bonus when placed in vegetation.

Tech level
There are 5 tech levels. You start on level 1 and each time you create a tech lab you go up one level. Each level allows you to deploy a greater number of division types, give you greater choices in the tactics available to you and on the whole tougher units.

Division deployment
To deploy a division to the battlefield you will need to create spaceports on your bases. This allows you to airdrop units anywhere around a base ready to fight.

Command Skills
You will have access to 6 command skills at all times with three available to all factions and three unique to each. You have access to three command points from the beginning and can increase it by three each time for every comsat you build. Command points regenerate itself overtime.

General Command skills
Forced March – 1 command point
Increases Division speed for 15 seconds

Retreat – 1 command point
An air transport comes to a divisions rescue and allows you to deploy the saved division again for free.

Orbital Bombardment – 3 command points
Rains down damage from your fleet on a spot of your choosing. It damages units, turrets and bases.

Faction specific command skills
The Consortium
Financial Support – 3 command points
Increase current Etherium balance instantly by 20%.

Spy radar – 3 command points
Reveals a spot in the fog of war for a limited amount of time.

Nano Assembler – 3 command points
Increases point capture and extension creation speed until completed.

The Awakened of Intar
Promotion – 1 command point
Instantly promotes chosen division by one level.

Laser designator – 2 command points
Increases the accuracy of your units attacking chosen enemy division for 30 seconds.

Teleport – 3 command points
Teleport any deployed division anywhere on the battlefield including in the fog of war.
Extra: Intar can also activate a weather event for 3 command points.

Vectide Empire
Orbital drone – 2 command points
Repairs units over time within selected area until effect wears off.

Distortion drone – 1 command points
Reduces the accuracy of enemies attack on Vectide divisions in selected area.

EMP cannon – 3 command points
Disables selected enemy division’s attack and movement for 30 seconds.
Factions
The Consortium
The Consortium advantages are their superior economy with financial support and military-complex extension to soften the blow of own units dying with 10% refund of destroyed units and fast territory capture and extension creation with nano assembler.

Units
Rocket Launcher Infantry: Infantry division that is effective against airborne units.

Shadow Agent: Infantry division granting 1 command point for each unit or building it destroys.

Stealth Tank: Armored vehicle division that can blend into the background.

Military-industrial complex: Extension that recovers 10 precent of the cost of your division when they are destroyed (5 max)

Attributes
Blitzkrieg: All units are technological level 1 cost less.

Mobilization: Ability to start missons with 3 additional command points.

Legion: Ability to start missions with one additional command slot.

Skills
Financial Support: Instantly provides Etherium equal to 20 percent of your current Etherium.

Spy Radar: Lifts Fog of War at target for a duration of 60 seconds.

Nano Assembler: Speeds up contruction of target building and extension.

The Awakened of Intar
The Intar are the most aggressive. Advantages are their buffing of units in the field with instant division promotion and laser designator to increase accuracy on target enemy and typically have the strongest units in the game. They also have the ability to predict the weather and activate a weather event by spending 3 command points.

Units
Siege Infantry: Infantry division that is effective against structures and shields.

Praetorian: Elite infantry division of the awakened of Intar that can be deployed outside of deployment zones.

Light Walker: Light combat walker division that can move over harsh terrain. Extremely effective against infantry.

Hall of Praetorians: Divisions that reach legedary rank gain 20 precent resistance. 5 max.

Attributes
Elite: Grants one accuracy bonus for Intari units that have gained experience during mission.

Ancestrial Wisdom: Ability to accumulate 3 additional command points at start of mission.

Precognition: Ability to display the time before the next weather event occurs and to trigger it prematurely for 3 command points.

Skills
Promotion: Promotes target division to next level.

Laser Designator: Improves accuracy of the divisons attacking target for 15 seconds.

Teleport: Place a friendly unit in deployment. This unit can be redeployed anywhere on battlefield in revealed fog fo war.

Vectide Empire
The Vectides on average have the cheapest units and have a defensive advantage with division shields available at tech level 2 and a higher defence bonus when units are in cover. The Vectides also reduce opponents attacking effectiveness with Distortion drone and EMP cannon. The Vectides are the most defensive faction being the only one who can place four turrets per territory instead of three.

Units
Vectide Legion: Infantry division that serves as cannon fodder for ruling Vectide caste.

Mortar Infantry: Infantry divison equipped with very long range weapons.

Flying Fortress: Devastating and heavily armored airborne unit.

Attributes
Entrenchment: The Vectide units are granted a larger bonus when under cover.

Fortification: Enables you to build 4 defensive structures instead of 3.

Standardized Shields: Ability to use force field special action from Technological level 2.

Skills
Orbital Drone: The orbital drone has a repair system that can be deployed anywhere in the warzone for 45 seconds.

Distortion Drone: The drones of distortion decrease the accuracy of enemy firing on friendly units for 45 seconds.

EMP Cannon: Immobilize and disable the weapons system of any divisions present in the area for 10 seconds.
Sub factions
If there are sub factions a map 1 or 2 bars will appear on center left of your screen. These bars show the progress you have made to rallying them to your cause. You can set 'NO sub factions' before a match.

The Parasites
Requires transforming Tech lab (250 costs) into Bio lab.

The Guardians
Requires transformig Comsat (150 cost) into Hacking center.

The Raiders
Requires transforming Refinary (50 cost) into Black Market.

Note turning these extensions into the required extension still takes up one of your total limit. Example, turning Refinary into Black Market still only leaves you 4 refinaries to place out of your 5 maximum.

Once a sub faction has been rallyed to any player the extension reverts back to it normal function. You will be provided with 3 divisions of the sub faction and when one dies another will redeploy overtime.

To remove a faction from the map you must destroy their base to stop them respawning. Once cleared, a Colony with an Etherium deposit will be left for you to capture.

Description: Provides the structures in the territory with a powerful energy shield.
Cost: 200 Etherium

Description: Division that reach the "Legendary" rank gain 20% resistance. (5 max.)

Planets and their climatic events
Serenade - Sandstorms immobilize any units within their impact area and inflict light damage on unarmored units.

Pilo - Volcanic eruptions are triggered along fault lines and inflict heavy damage on ground units.

Mars - Tornadoes whirl around the war zone randomly and inflict heavy damage on any units and structures within their impact area.

Desta Fatalis - Magnetic storms disrupt the entire comms system and prevent commanders from using their command skills.

Resurgence - Hurricanes are particularly devastating and can destroy any airborne units present in the war zone and render any deployment of troops impossible.

Arctis - Blizzards on arctis instantly freeze any bodies of water and reduce the field of vision of all the units and structures in the war zone.

Weather events occur at random intervals and for random durations.

I haven't played in a long time or have it installed. As I remember, I don't think you can save during a match.

I want to know if U can save the game in any manner, I don't have time to play thru a game I want to play save then come back and continue to play the same game like I do on the rest of my RTS games.
