I fucking did it! lol
I failed on first try, but second try I stayed on the funnel all the way up to the ceiling, then shot a portal where the button was...then fell down and pushed the button on my way back. I then moved in the air to safe ground and grabbed the cube flying out of the portal I just went through a few seconds earlier.

Great puzzle. Worked out the 1st part both elements combined quite quickly. Working out final part took me longer and once I realised I knew I was in trouble as I'm rubbish at that sort of thing, so F6 and many F7's later I made it!
