Bloodstone & Orchid are the 2 core items for a storm spirit. You need these items to deal with the huge amount of mana you need. After you got those 2 items you should be able to snowball and get pickoffs to get your other items fast. Your job is usually to shut down the supportive heroes and keep ganking the enemy carry when he is farming.
