Consortium Guide to Etherium
By PhoenixDawn
This is my first contibution to the Steam Community, a guide to the under-rated RTS Etherium. This guide should help novices play better as the Consortium Faction. I'll explain the faction, describe units (and their uses), and give strategies for victory.

Consortium Overview
In Etherium, the Consortium is a massive Human corporation that wants to gain a monopoly over the etherium market, giving them tremendous power over the solar system. To reach their goals, the Consortium used sabatoge, espianoge, and other crimes to secure their dominance over competition. Once they had power, they began secret development of military technology, including their genetically modified super soldiers, the Shadow Warriors. Once the Consortium had an army and a fleet, they joined in the war over etherium.

All of this information is given at the beginning of a conquest game, but I'm including it because it makes the human team not appear as the "good guys."
Consortium Units
This section is purely about the unique Consortium unts.

Shadow Agent:
A mid-price infantry unit with stealth and seige attributes. However, it's more important part is that it rewards you one command point when it destroys a structure.

Stealth Tank:
A vehicle with armor and stealth attributes. It can hide in plain sight and ambush enemy positions.

Military Industrial Complex:
An extension for bases that recovers 10% of etherium from lost divisions. Amount stacks up to 5 complexes at 50% recovery.
Consortium Command Abilities
These are the three Consortium command abilities.

Financial Support:
Spends 3 command points to add 20% to your banks.

Spy Satellite:
Spends 1 command point to remove the fog of war from an area for 60 seconds.

Nano Assembler:
Spends 1 command point to hasten the construction of a structure.
Consortium Tips
Here are some strategies that I find useful as the Consortium. I hope that you do too.

Shadow Agent + Financial Support:
This an investment with potential returns up to 8,000 etherium. A force of 4+ shadow agents on a suicide mission, what could go wrong? Whenever possible use the financial support ability so that the more turrets they use to resist, the more money you get. Don't worry about retreating the agents, its a suicide mission anyways.

Artillery + Spy Satellite:
Arillery vehicles have a longer range than their visibility. Solution? Simple, use spy satellite ability to show the area in their range. The rate at which command points refresh allows for a constant reveal. I used this trick with 10 artillery vehicle divisions and crushed the enemy effortlessly.

A Mad Panic + Nano Assemblers:

In a pinch? Enemies destroying your turrets before they can finsh building? Place one turret as cannon fodder, then use the nano assembler abillity on another that you acctually need. Its simple, build them faster while they're distracted by that stupid watch tower.

Thanks for reading my guide. I know that Etherium is almost unheard of and that this is a really old page, but its always good to see it in use.
ardentkite, stealth is a passive ability where enemies have to be much closer to be able to see the unit. When you view a unit's range (alt, i believe), it show a red range for attack range, and a blue range. This blue range is the distance at which the unit can see stealth enemies. You'll notice that when an infantry goes into a forest, they might dissapear from sight. That is because infantries in forests, in addition to gaining a cover bonus, they gain stealth. Stealth tanks are the only vehicle units with stealth. They're great for getting closer to your target before you attack so that you can get the jump on them. Hope this helps and best of luck with the Consortium, lococarl

Behind the lines suicide drop with shadow agents is enough to win against almost any AI.

I never touch financial support. You have to leave a ton of money unspent to get max use out of it and in an RTS, unspent money is wasted money. Money sitting in the bank could have been to apply pressure, capture more points to increase your income, or deny the enemy income.

As Consortium, I use command points almost exclusively on force march (capture points faster, especially at start) and nano assembler. You don't have to worry about a reserve at all since you can just plop down turrets instantly anywhere.
