The Basics
What is The Fatbird?

The Fatbird is a small, nimble plane with plenty of burst damage and speed, relying on speed an precision when attacking. which with some practice can be unstoppable. The Fat bird is an all around class being able to deal damage from both close and medium range, but suffers at long range. He deals both damage through bullets or damage through explosives with the benefit of being able to stop other planes from chasing him with his special ability. He has 110 hp and 39 speed.

Weapons, Abilities and How to Use Them

The Fat bird has many useful attributes - let's start with its primary weapons.
  • Gatling Gun: This weapon is mainly for chasing/dogfighting, having 50 ammo you can fire it for a long time, but the downside to all that ammo is that it takes roughly eight seconds to reload it fully when you run out. The main niche of this weapon would be that the longer you shoot it, the faster it can shoot. What you want to do is try to get behind the enemy lines then just simple keep shooting them until you see flames then run of to somewhere that you can reload and repeat, but in my opinion I would typically stay away from this gun because of the reload time.
  • Shotgun: This is my personal favorite, it's primarily (and almost exclusively) used for close combat/dogfighting. Due to its high damage output, it has a disadvantage of only two bullets and having to be up close to your target to deal any significant damage. Its ability is that it's so hard-hitting that it will push its targets away from you. This is best used by literally flying into enemy zones, getting as close as you can and trying to pick out someone from the group. This gun can easily take out a plane with its two shots at close range. In my opinion, this would be a good gun to fight with as it deals high damage.
  • Flak Cannon: The Flak Cannon is good for killing clusters of enemies. Its main uses are chasing/crowd control. Crowd control in Air Brawl (and other games) refers to weapons and abilities with large AoE damage (Area of Effect I.E. explosive) and things that disable, stun or slow planes such as EMP missile (Stun/Slow), Swords (Slow) and other things like that, but anyway back on track the Flak Cannon is great for groups of enemy planes. With its 15 ammo and minimal damage + CC (Crowd Control) it can easily take down most planes with one clip. In my opinion, this weapon is only good in some situations (Popular servers, large amounts of enemies in a small map like Park, etc.)
Next up we have secondary weapons which are even better than his primary weapons.
  • Barrels: Barrels are a skill shot weapon meaning that it doesn't have lock-on or laser guidance. It only has 2 ammo and deals explosive damage. I never use this because I suck at skill shot weapons, but if you have a lot of skill and are able to hit a lot of skill based weapons than this might be your weapon of choice. It can take down an enemy in two hits except for Fat birds, Witch Doctors, Viking's or The Elder's because they have around 110-120 hp. In my opinion, it can be good with practice, but personally I don't use it and would recommend most people to avoid using it as well.
  • Stickies: Stickies are my favorite secondary weapon. With 10 ammo it can easily take out any plane with about 5 to 6 stickies. It can also be used on surfaces to make traps, if there is an area which is often crowded or you are being chased, you can fire the stickies onto a surface. As said before when being pursued, fire the stickies onto a nearby service and use the rear-view cam (v by default) to know when your enemy will pass your trap and detonate. The only downside is that it's difficult to aim, especially at range; but with its fire rate and only four second reload time it can be easily spammed to get enough stickies to take your enemy down. In my opinion, this is a must for when you can't take a plane down with your primary weapon.
  • Air Cannon: The Air Cannon is great for hindering the movement of your enemy, or boosting your own. For example, if your enemy is going to make a sharp turn, you can right click to push him away to stop him from moving or maybe it will completely push him into a wall (leading to them crashing). You can also bring them to you by pressing the secondary fire button (space bar by default). Also, you press space while flying fast and point at a near by wall, floor or ceiling it will give you a short speed boost about the speed of using your after burners so around 350-400 MPH, it'll give you a bit of distance away from your enemy so you can easily think of how to either escape or get behind him, just be careful because it'll make it harder for you to control your plane when being boosted. You can also push yourself away from walls and get behind enemies.
The final part of the Fat bird is its special ability, one that can instantly kill multiple enemies at a time.
  • Net: This special ability is perfect for killing enemies that are chasing you, assuming you have a wall nearby. If anyone is chasing you anywhere in a map all you have to do is look for a tight spot, press f and there you are, easy kill and you make it out alive. I have yet to get multiple kills with a single net but it's not that rare for it to happen. The only disadvantages that I can see is that you only get 1 shot and the cool down is 12 seconds. For the moment being you can't change this to any other special, but it looks like there might be another special that you can chose from soon.
Now with all of the basics of The Fat bird we'll move on to a few loadouts that I use every now and then.
Loadouts
Note: Before we get started, if you have any loadouts that you like or think are good, I will be glad to put them in this section. All I request is that if you do want to add a loadout to this guide please write a sentence just to explain the loadout a bit and its capabilities (in the comment section, of course). Thank you.

My Favorite Loadouts
  • Shotgun, Stickies and Net: This is what I mostly see when I find other experienced Fat bird players. It's good for chasing, dogfighting, running away and many more possibilities. It can take down an enemy with just its primary or secondary and can easily turn around a match in just a few minutes. In my list this is my #1 most used loadout that I've been playing with.
  • Shotgun, Air Cannon and Net: I use this as a way to quickly get to the front line for some easy kills. It allows you run away fast and keep enemies in my field of view at all times. I generally use this as a way to stop people from escaping. I get two shots with my shotgun the press space bar to get them back up close, or bring myself to them, and take another two shots on them. The best thing is that if it turns into a dogfight, you can push them away to get a bit of time to catch up and deal a finishing blow on them. This is my #2 most used loadout.
  • Flak Cannon, Stickies and Net: I don't use this that much because I haven't been able to find very popular servers, but when I do it's the best setup ever. I can find two enemies and hit both constantly while trying to aim and the enemy with the most health. It doesn't always manage to kill all enemy, but that's when your stickies and net comes into play. While you start shooting at those enemies try to hold down right click as well because you can shoot both weapons at the same time to get maximum damage, then just click space and you just got yourself two kills. In my list this is my #3 most used loadout that I've been playing with.
Community Loadouts

For the moment this'll stay blank for a while, but as more updates come and go we should start seeing new possibilities and new ways to make different loadouts.
Conclusion
I'm hoping that this guide will help many new players that are looking to get better at Fatbird and provide a few loadouts to get you started. I'm hoping to get a few different classes that I play done and publish them, but in the meantime just remember that it'll take a bit of time to get used to flying and aiming with Fatbird, or any class for that matter. I remember when I couldn't even fly properly and all I could do was add onto my own death count. I couldn't get a single shot on anyone, but within a few hours of playing I figured out the controls and started to get a few kills. Now I'm getting to the top of the leader boards in kills and can hardly die, but yes I do still crash... a lot, but there's always more to learn. Good luck on becoming a master Fatbird pilot, and of course any suggestions or opinions that you can give I will gladly look over and hope to make this guide even better.

Note: This guide will be updated constantly on feedback and upcoming updates. Also if you're reading this Wilnyl (Best Game Dev In The World), if you could give me the damage of each specific weapon on the Fatbird as it isn't on the wiki. Thank you.

This is actually kind of sad. The whole point of this game was just to give me and joe something to do for an hour and you've just blown it out of proportion and it took it way too seriously. Get help bro.

Sorry, but the guide is fairly outdated and I've kind of given up on the game since its downfall...

The gatling recarges without pressing r or running out of ammo. Also it really has 100 ammo because 2 clicks equal one ammo. Just use in bursts.
