There are over a dozen crops to choose but which one is the best value? Unless you need to grow a specific crop for a quest, I'd recommend checking out the breakdown below of prices/time per crop:

  In Conclusion:
  The best bang for your buck and the best use of your time would be on Chili Peppers at this point. If you are trying to farm for XP, tomatoes is your best bet after you hit level 15 for the unlimited water. Of course, you should grow whichever crop you want as long as you grow it to level 3, you will be making a profit no matter what. Also, keep in mind that using gems to speed up a crop can sometimes raise your gems per min but overall isn't a good idea because it will tremendously lower your profits.

Below is a list of the farming tools that are used.

• The watering can takes 50s to replenish 1 use
  
• For 900g, you can upgrade the watering can at Polly's market to add +5 Water (uses)
  
• At level 15 you will become a VIP and acquire unlimited water

• The rake has unlimited uses and is used first to be able to plant your crops

• The original silo holds up to 25 resources
  
• When you max out your silo, you will have to sell your crops or upgrade
