Right Click
#1 will have to be the right click feature. If you have an item in your bags and you don't know what you can do with it or make from it, right click it. This will create a pop up that will give you information of either what it took to make it, or what I can make.

You can click on the other items listed and it will give you info on those too.

It will count and list the items that you have to make it already and will even put a green check if you do.

You can move this popup around by clicking the top and draging it. You can also minimize it (-), and ofc, close it (x). You can press the < button to go back to the previous things you've clicked on in a row.

!! All gear will require monster parts relative to the level of the gear being made. So make sure to keep the monster parts that you will need.

Hover
Hover your mouse over everything. You will find that it will help you figure out what something is or does.
Knowledge Book
This thing is pretty handy. It'll list everything for every craft and gather in order from level.

Press B on your keyboard to open it or click on the ... at the top left of the screen and select it.

Left click on any icons and it'll bring up the info popups.

As you level up your gathering, you'll be "discovering" things that drop (aka, first time gathering of an item), which will give you bonus xp.
When looking in the book, items that have been discovered before have colored in icons.

* note: the knowledge book is something that they are working on to improve, so for right now it is sort of laggy for some people, so do not worry if it is for you.
Auto-Gather
This is very useful. While it is not possible to loot all the loot at once from monsters, you can from gathering. So instead of clicking all those ores off the ground, it will do it automatically for you.

Go into the options menu. Either by clicking on the ... drop down menu and then the gear symbol icon or press Shift O.

Go to the Options tab and scroll to the very bottom and check the box next to Auto-Gather.

Splitting Stacks
Theres several ways you can do this.

1. If you hold Control and click an item stack and then let go of control, when you place the item, it will only place one from the stack.

2. If you hold Control and click an item stack and keep holding it and then place the item, it will give a popup box that you can type a number in.

3. At the bottom of your item bag, above your gold, there is a symbol with a red / in it, click that and then click an item stack and then click where you want to place it and the lil split box will pop up.

If you change your mind about splitting something, press esc,
Rolling
Rolling is very neat and useful. It allows you to dodge enemy attacks, at the cost of (if dodged) losing a bit of aggro and not being able to use any of your abilities for like 5 seconds. It also makes you a tiny bit faster. But it is very nice to be able to roll through a zone/area without dieing.

You can roll by pressing Z (if its not z...check your keybinds), or double pressing WASD, though you may turn that feature off under Options -> Keybinds.
Unstick
If you for some reason get stuck and can't move or jump out of where youre stuck, you can type /unstick and hopefully it will work. If not, you can do /suicide and it will kill you and you can release and be sent to infront portal you entered the zone from.

Selling / Deleting
Basically, any person with "Vendor" (although some say other things, ex: Recipes - from the one guy in Ardent) under their name will buy your stuff, and for the same price as any other vendor.

You can either drag the items and drop them onto the vendor's store screen, or you can go to the sell tab and click on what you want to sell and then clicking sell.

Vendors will not take things labeled as "quest items" (which are non-tradeable), nor will they take monster parts, or anything that doesnt have a Sell Value stat on it.
You can see how much an item is worth in the tool tip if you hover over it. Sell Value will tell you how much 1 will sell for, Total Stack Value will tell how much what is currently in that stack is worth.
Currently, there IS NOT a buy back system. Once you sell it, its gone.

To delete an object, click an hold it to the trash can located at the bottom fo your inventory above the gold amount. It will NOT make you confirm a deletion unless it is for a quest item, so do be careful.

Help
You can either type "/help" or go down to your chatbox to the "..." click that and then click help.
This info box lists all of the chat commands, along with detailed listing all of the controls your mouse and keyboard can do and what they do.
Maps
There are 2 maps; World and Local.

Go to the top right corner to the minimap.

If you press the globe icon, it will take you to the world map.

If you click on the mini map, it will take you to the local map.

If you want to switch between the two while looking at the map, click on the icons on the left to switch between.

The Rune with the # on it is how many teleportation runes you have left to use. First time discoveries of a teleportation pad will give you one, which is consumed when you port, so be careful when using them.

On the world map, your current locational is marked with a star.

Quest Tracking
To track a quest, go into your quest journal by pressing J or clicking on the icon of a book with a ! on it. Make sure you are on the Quests tab, select a quest, and then press Track.

This will put the icon of the quest into a bar on the upper left side of the screen.

From there, you can hover over an icon and it will tell you what you need to do for the quest. You can also click on the icon and it will bring up your quest journal to the exact quest.

The quest will also be marked on your world and local maps with the quest's icon. (On the world map, if you have more than one quest for a certain location in your tracked quests, it will only show the first icon.)

3D Spirit Essences
These things give you temp buffs that can be pretty useful. They drop from killing mobs, usually pretty random, and their stats differ between colors.

if you find them to be bothersome, you can turn the visual off.

Go to Settings - > Options -> Effects Options -> uncheck "3D Spirit essence icon" (it may not work right away if you have some in effect on you already)
Monster Parts
As noted earlier, monster parts are a big part in crafting your gear. Eveeeery piece of gear needs some amount of them. So as you go around the world, pick them up, see if you will need them, and if not, still keep them. There a charter npc in Ardent that will exchange monster parts for xp and a charter token. (see next section for more about charters)

Basically, you can pick up any monster parts from any monster, and the only thing that matters is what level the part is and what lvl the monster is. Figure out the level of the part, and then kill things 2 levels below and above that to get more. (ex: a lvl 10 fang -> kill monsters lvl 8-12) You do not need to kill spiders for silk in specific, or boars for tusks. You can get silk off of a boar and tusks off of a spider. etc etc. Only level is important. Otherwise it is random. If you need a certain part, ask world or lf chat, or check out the aution house.

But, if the part is lvl 1-7 you can check out the Monster Parts Vendor, in Ardent or Ethos Island/Summer's Hollow.

Charters
Charters are repeatable quests given by special npcs wearing charter robes and/or have a charter token above their head. The quests give you some combat xp, xp in whatever craft/gather is charter is from, and 1 charter token. There are also daily charter quests too, that will give 2 tokens for gathering, 3 for crafting, and the npcs for them are located in zones around ardent city. (See list here[villagersandheroes.wikia.com])

Crafting charter npcs in Ardent City are located next to the crafting stations.

Gathering chater npcs in Ardent City are located in the area near the portal to Ardent Castle.

There is also a charter npc for monster kills and another for monster parts, who only give you combat xp + charter token.

You can redeem your tokens in Ardent Castle. From the portal, go straight to where King Leo is and the npc is to the left of him.

Need to say thanks for this. It's probably old now since it's 2015 and I've just started this game. Nevertheless, info is info and it's all good.
