I think a lot of people come into the game expecting Skyrim combat logic to apply where a mastery of moving your character and knowing how an enemy attacks can get you through the hardest difficulties, where Morrowind combat relies more on raw character stats.
I almost can't blame them for getting frustrated when the first mudcrab they meet eats them like booty and all they get in feedback from the game is "swish, swish, swish" as they frantically mash left click. I'm glad to see someone trying to explain how things work to help new players. I'm sure I would have been just as confused if I hadn't owned the guidebook back in '02.
You can literally take any game, thats ever been made and do what ol' mate here has done (great job too btw Rancor). I ddint know these forumals and played the game fine. Sorry that it doesnt hold your hand and change its every mechanic to suit your needs. If i was the game though and saw your attitude, i wouldnt either. lel
Great post, Rancor. Thanks for making it easier for people to engage in Morrowind. The best overall game in the series, when compared with its roots. All started getting stripped back from oblivion onward. From other comments, looks like you have done just that <3
