Highlights
  • You only need to do the last zone to beat Hard mode.
  • The 7th and 10th hands have enough cards to reach a combo of 35.
Guide
If you’ve played the game through on Normal mode then you likely got all of the achievements except for:

and perhaps:

And depending on how thorough you were in Normal mode, this guide will also help you earn:

You can get all of these achievements together in one zone -- the very last one: Bella’s Ball. In fact, you don’t even have to play any of the areas leading up to Bella’s Ball, you can jump directly to it and after successfully meeting all of the goal requirements you will get the achievement for winning the game on Hard.

The goals for Bella’s Ball are the most challenging of all the previous zones, requiring all 10 hands to be “Perfect”, collect 6000 gold, and make a combo of 35.

Getting the 10 perfect hands is simple enough but will probably require a bit of patience. Collecting all the gold should happen without even trying, thanks to those hands needing 3 stars each. Getting the combo, though, is a little trickier.

You won’t be able to make a large enough combo until the 7th hand and as far as I can tell, the only other hand where this would be possible is the 10th one, so save your wild cards until then! The layout for the 10th hand is probably much more accommodating for this achievement, but my cards happened to be in my favor so I was able to get the achievement without any trouble on the 7th hand. Good luck!
Warning!
Don’t use the cupid or phoenix powerups when attempting to get the big combo because you need almost all of the cards on the board to hit 35. Feel free to use the harp if you need to, though!
Tips
  • Don’t start the level until you’ve bought all of the upgrades.
  • Joker wild cards are much more valuable than the numbered ones. The more you have, the easier it’ll be to make the combo. If your fan is full (11 cards) you won’t be able to get anymore. You can cultivate a better selection of wild cards by getting rid of (using) any duplicate numbers before you get to whichever level you plan on attempting the 35 combo.
  • Lastly, be extra careful not to accidentally click “Next” if you didn’t get 3 stars in a level or you’ll have to start the zone all over again.

Thanks for reading. I hope this helps!

The info about which hands held enough cards was the key, along with being able to skip some of the Hard chapters. Just played along on Hard until there were eleven Jokers available, then moved to the final chapter. Was able to get 35 combos in both of the big hands. Thank you Marzipan.

Thanks for this! Helped enormously getting the three I was missing (5x multiplier in addition to 35 streak and winning on hard) knowing I only needed to play chapter 20 on hard and knowing to stay focused on getting to the very last level with an ample wildcard deck. With 4 jokers and a bunch of other wildcards, the last level was a breeze to clear in one straight run, clearing both the 35 streak and 5 multiplier I needed.

Thank you for the guide! I managed to squeak through with 35 combo on 10-7 with 3 wild cards, shooting down a single card near the end, and some good luck.

Just a heads up for everyone playing Hard Mode from the start. After finishing the final chapter you will get the 'Sumptous Solitaire' achievement, but NOT the 'Happily Ever After' so you will still have to replay the final chapter on normal difficulty.
Some games will automatically grant you lower difficulty achievements for beating the highest difficulty level, but not this one. Luckily, the final chapter on normal is a breeze :beatmeat:
