Intro
Welcome! My name is MPO, and Goscurry is something very special to me. I bought this little-known title wanting mouth-drooling gaming zen, and boy, I got it in spades. That pick-up-and-play zen was what pushed me in 16 hours to rank the top 10 of all five modes, and 100% the game. Since there aren't any guides, I'm writing my first one on Steam in hopes that you will find it helpful on your own long journey! I'll be covering a little bit of everything, so enjoy the guide, and enjoy Goscurry.
Tips and Tricks
Don't Stop Playing!
Goscurry might be a hard game, but it's also a fair one. There will be a noticeable learning curve as you perfect your skill at each element of the game and learn the language of obstacles. The different modes are also designed to help you with this, and you'll be putting it all together on the harder ones. Start on Training and learn the timing on turns. Hard will introduce obstacles, and Freak allows you to practice on nothing but the auto-boost parts. If you find you're hitting a brick wall, try finding a bad pattern in your play and practice a mode tailored for ironing it out.

Turning Feedback
Visual cues are built into the graphics to let you know if you're turning dangerously early or late. Your vehicle will clearly deviate from the line in the middle of the road, even flying right off of it and back on, so pick up on these cues and adjust your timing on-the-fly. This is important because your speed is constantly changing, so this skill will enable you to have the god runs and make it through cities like a boss. Always keep adjusting.

Use Boost Toggle
This is partly dependent on preference, but you're probably gonna want this turned on. From the main menu, it's in Options > Customize > Toggle Boost. This will allow you just tap the Spacebar instead of holding it down to boost. Later on, you'll typically want to boost for the entirety of the first two levels, so make things easier on yourself and have one less input to worry about.

Slow Down At New Church City
While Level 2 is only marginally harder, Level 3 (New Church City if you don't have city randomization on) is where the difficulty really spikes. You're also clocking in at a few more tenths of a multiplier by now, so play it safe and play the long game - stop using your boost during regular segments. You'll just get more points that way in the long run unless you're a god, because your success demands perfection. Not only that, but...

Auto-Boost Parts Are Where The Points Are
When you get the opportunity to enter a road with arrows on it, take it. These temporarily lock you into boost mode for one of two types of track where you can really rack up big points. This is especially the case for the one with turns instead of obstacles - in later levels, getting a x10 trick multiplier a dozen or so times in a row is pretty common, netting you hundreds of thousands of points. This is why you play slow in regular sections, with hopes of hitting as many of these auto-boost parts as possible. You'll really notice the difference in score!

Throttle The Boost When Entering Cities
A little trick to improve your score no matter what city you're in is to always turn on your boost when you finish a city. At the end of that nice, long straightaway with no obstructions, turn it back off for the next part.

Turning Vertically in Pro Mode
The camera in Pro is always centering on the direction of your track. Due to the wide nature of screen resolutions, this naturally gives you less room to see the track ahead when you're turning up or down. This was especially a problem for me when turning down at a fork in the road, so if you're noticing this problem, try very hard to either focus at these parts, or in my case, turn up at every vertical fork. Thankfully, this isn't a problem in Paranoid where you get a wider camera POV.
Achievements
I'll only be covering the ones that could use explanation. The rest should unlock through natural play.

Dr Livingstone, I presume
"Unlock all (but really all) cities"
There are a total of 12 cities, with "The End" being the tenth, so don't be fooled! Keep it slow and make this the last achievement you shoot for after beating Freak, because you'll really be flying near the end. The achievement will pop when you finally crash. Yay!

Rules breaker
"Avoid an obstacle without jumping/evading"
Contrary to what I first guessed, completely circumventing an obstacle during a U-turn you can cut through isn't the answer. This is the first of a couple achievements that encourage you to experiment with the engine's physics, which is really cool. The idea here is to quickly perform two turns around an obstacle, which will allow you enough momentum to sidestep without pressing the Up or Down keys. Of course, this must happen very rapidly in order to stay on the track. You even get extra points by doing this and a star that pops up. Neat! I wouldn't suggest using this as a way to repeatedly boost your score though, as it's hard to pull off.

Ring a-ring o' roses
Do a 360 and survive to tell the tale
It's time to mash one of the turn keys and see what happens. If performed quickly enough, you'll do donuts on the track! Turn exactly four times to prevent yourself from losing count or leaving sticking the landing up to chance.

Hypno master
Do a 1440 and survive to tell the tale
More of the same. Wheeee! This is exactly 16 turns.
Conclusion
That's all you need to know! Good luck out there, and I'll see you on the leaderboards. Don't forget to tell your friends about this incredibly satisfying and beautiful game. The world needs to know about Goscurry!

Your friend,
MPO
