I bet that you have heard of Dark Souls before. Right? Right??
Ok so if you have played or finished any other games from From Software or if you are experienced, you had better not read this guide because this is for CASUALS.
Ok you have probably heard rumors about Dark Souls being hard and ♥♥♥♥. Well it is hard if you are a freaking CASUL. So you have 2 options to finish this nerve wrecking piece of ♥♥♥♥ game that made me waste 100+ hours of my lifetime. (10/10 best game i have ever played)
FIRST WAY:
You are going to do it as it should be done. Open a new character, chose the warrior class and go full melee.
SECOND WAY:
Ok this way is especially useful for you casual scrubs out there. Go to the charcter customization screen. Select the Sorcerer class.
Step 1:
Pick sorcerer.
Step 2:
Wait...
Step 3:
???
Step 4:
CASH


Ok but, really... Sorcerers are piececes of ♥♥♥♥♥ that make this game suuuuuper ez.
But for this guide i will generally cover the first way.

I will cover the Dark Souls 2 Melee Guide with a few sections.

1: COMBAT!
Hey, listen pal. If you don't want to die like a ♥♥♥♥♥, you gotta survive out in the wilderness. So, to do that you gotta learn how to fight. You are not a casul right? Ok, the roots of combat lie in practice.
You gotta practice your timings, your rolls, your swipes and when to perform them and when to oppose your opponents. In Dark Souls, you will get punished for even the tiniest mistakes.
You will die a lot, i gotta say that. Dying is not the end to Dark Souls, it is the part of it. It is natural. Even the pros with 1000+ hours on Dark Souls die.
Armor won't protect you from everything. In this game everything can be countered. You got heavy armor? OH! eat my lightning dagger up your face and get electrified.

2: WEIGHT MANAGING.
I put this one on the second section because most of the people do not understand this weight mechanic. If you are a filthy casul, you don't need armor. If you are a true man, MAN WEAR HEAVY ARMOR. Well, not if you are using a dex build.
Ok, the weight mechanic is like this: To increase the weight of armor you can carry on you, you must level up vitality. Vitality is the only skill that increases your carrying weight. Well you can also wear some special items that increase that ability. If your weight is below %50, you can perform the lon groll, which is the best for light armor users and professionals. Go even 0.1 point above that, and you can no longer perform the long roll.
Between %50 and %70 you will now perform the normal roll. This is probably what you would wanna use. If not over %70 weight, you are ok. This roll lasts long enough to evade (some) enemy attacks.
So you went over %70 uh? So now you will perform the fat roll, which i named as the 'Gaben Roll' Trust me, you would not wanna use this one. It takes ages to roll and you WILL get hit.
Over %100 weight, you can not even roll, and you start walking suuuper slow. Not practical.

Ok so here's some general information:

You can only level up in Majula, from the Emerald Herald, so be careful not to kill her, she also upgrades your estus flask. Your very first Blacksmith is Lennigrast in Majula. He is Shrek's lost brother. Buy him his key and let him work. Upgrade your weapons by using titanite. You will find lots of shopkeepers throughout the game. Be sure to buy something from everyone. BE SURE TO EXHAUST EVERY NPC'S DIALOGUE BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE AREA.
Pleasee and pleaseeeee read the item's lore. Try to get something and figure out the story.you can also watch videos like this one.
Try slaying all of the bosses before you finish the game. Even if it takes a million tries, do it.
