Make your way to the core town where the two derelict highways are. Simply go up one or the other and stop when you are near the bot hive nest. When the sentry bots follow your radiation signal (unless you've managed to dump it) they will encounter the hive. The swarm bots will attack the sentry bots and there will be random loot dropped from those kills. Wait until there's an opening, then sprint in and grab what you can. I have done this several times and only once has a sentry followed me up the highway. That one time was because it was very close, so make sure the bots aren't right behind you. Happy looting!
