This is a guide that will show you the basics of building a base in Farsky. This guide should help you if you are struggling to make a nice base.

I will have plenty of screenshots for this part of the guide!

You start with a pretty average sized base in adventure/survival mode, you start with a very small base in sandbox, though you put it where you want to! An item you start with is the hammer. It is on the right side of your toolbar.

You can see the hammer selected on the right side of my toolbar above.

There are many uses for the hammer; you can repair walls, if they are damaged. You can also use it to remove walls and floors in your base. This is very important so you can move your floors or wall.

The first thing you start with in a base is the "Main Workshop." This is where you can make all the other crafting stations. One of these crafting stations is called the "Building Workshop."


There are many things you can build in a Building workshop.


One of those many things is a 'floor.'


Floor is very, very important. It is used to create, well, the floors of your base. You can expand your base with floors. Equip the floor in your toolbar and left click on a wall of your base, it should expand it by 1 floor block. Floor costs 3 iron to build. HINT: Its cheap.


The next item is 'glass wall.' It is your typical window in Farsky. It's almost self-explanatory; you left click on a wall with glass wall equipped and it replaces that wall with glass. When broken with a hammer, it doesn't give you glass wall back, it just gives you 1 floor. This isn't required for a base, but it allows you to see outside of your base. Glass walls cost 2 glass and 2 copper, difficult to get at the very beginning of the game. Glass is acquired by melting sand in a cooker with coal.

Third on our list is the ladder.

It is very important for base building because you need it for your next level, though not as important as our next item. It is useful for the bottom entry of your base, and for the second floor. It costs 4 iron, its very cheap.

Fourth is the "Next Level."

The Next level item is very important for your base. It allows you to expand your base like the floor, but upwards! It costs 7 iron, it is cheap, though don't make too many levels, this could lead to confusion, tiny floors, and crowded areas. Do not use this as a ladder, as it will not make a "new level" but just place like a normal ladder. When broken it will turn into a default ladder, keeping the floor above.

The last item on my list is the "New Base" Item.

It is the most expensive, costing: 50 iron, 2 gold, and 1 crystal. This item can, as you can tell, make a new base! You can equip it on your tool bar and place it anywhere in the world! It is very difficult to get, crystals come from the deepest part of the sea and when harvested give you a nasty surprise!

Your normal base entry is at the bottom of your base, with a ladder sticking down.



Just jump to the ladder and hold [forward key.] (default: W)

Simple! Though, the mechanic is kind of glitchy and can get you killed! I found a fast way to enter and exit your base with the "hammer" tool.

Move towards a wall [from inside your base] and never stop holding forward. Just as you are about to hit the wall left click with your hammer, it should remove the wall and throw you outside of your base! You then take the floor and do the same thing from the outside, just using floor, instead of the hammer! It's a very, very fast way of getting into your base!
