The Farm captures all of the fun, energy, and excitement of a real, working farm. Kids can visit the big red barn and watch a cow being milked. Or, take a peek inside the chicken coop and find out how eggs are made. Help harvest the corn and feed the pigs. Don't miss the pond. Plus, there's a beaver dam to explore.
2. The Junior Field Trips Series
Junior Field Trips turns young Players loose to discover exciting new places up close and on their own. Young Players decide where they want to go and how much they want to know. Detailed explanations, lively sound effects and colorful animation make every trip truly one of a kind.
2-1. The Farm Retail Version Toolbar
Back Arrow: Go back one Screen

Time to Play: Takes you the the Minigame Section

What is this: Selecting any object when active takes you to its Index Page

Index: Takes you to the Farm Encyclopedia

Buzzy the Knowlege Bug: Tells you about a certian area of the Farm.
Also acts as the help button

Quit: Exits the Game

Stop Playing: Takes you back to the Time to Play Menu

Purple Arrows: Takes you Forward or back one Screen in the Index

Read Aloud: Read an Farm Encyclopedia Entry out loud for you.

Back to the Farm: Takes you back to the Farm Exploration.

Score: Your Check your scores in the Time to Play Section

Score Reset: Resets your High Scores for your Current Profile

Print: You can print out your Scores or Farm Encyclopedia Entries using your printer.
(Not available in the Steam Version, you can however take a screenshot using F12.)

New Player: Register a new player in the Time to Play Area.
2-2. The Farm Demo/Prototype Demo Versions Toolbar
Back Arrow: Go back one Screen or takes you Back to the Airport

Question Mark: Selecting any object when active takes you to its Index Page

Index: Takes you to the Airport Encyclopedia

2-2. Prototype Demo Version Differences
Known differences:
1. The opening is completely different. We hear farm noises, the title screen is completely different, and it's referred to as its working title, the Junior Encyclopedia.

2. The interface is totally different. The buttons actually look like buttons, they are in front of a gray background instead of white, and they make no noise when you click them.

3. The whole screen can be seen. In the final release, it was slightly cut off to achieve an effect.
4. The non-arrow cursor is different.
5. The copyright dates read 1994 instead of 1995.

30. Secret - Demo Version Windows/MS-DOS Install (ScummVM)
Want to play Junior Field Trips' Let's Explore The Farm the Demo Version without any Humongous Entertaiment Discs? Then I'll show you how to do so.

First, download the ScummVM Emulator here:
http://scummvm.org/

Then, follow these steps:
1. Create a new Folder on your C Drive and Name it: "HEGames".

5. Create 2 New Folders in your HEGames Folder, then Name it "FarmDemo" (If you want to play the Normal Demo Version) & "FarmPrototypeDemo (If you want to play the Prototype Demo Version).

6. Copy the Junior Field Trips' Let's Explore The Farm Demo Files to both "FarmDemo" & "FarmPrototypeDemo" Folders.

7. Run the ScummVM Installer & follow the instructions shown.

8. DON'T Open Junior Field Trips' Let's Explore The Farm the Demo Verison just yet. If you're using a newer computer, you'll need to use the ScummVM Emulator.

9. Open ScummVM
10. Select "ADD GAME"

11. Find the folder where Junior Field Trips' Let's Explore The Farm the Demo Version is Installed on your Hard Drive, select CHOOSE & then select OK. After that, the game should be added to the ScummVM Library (Do this for both Normal Demo & Prototype Demo Versions of the game).

12. Highlight Junior Field Trips' Let's Explore The Farm the Demo Version (Normal Demo or Prototype Demo Versions), then Double-Click on it to start or select START.

13. Enjoy
