The mg in 2001 pic is the MG-42 btw. The one in 2015 is just 4 mg-42s made into a minigun. The MG-42 was a very devastating light machine gun during ww2, because it was one of the first full auto weapons with a fast fire rate. In fact it shot so fast you could barely hear a single shot. This made it hard to face against. It even sounded like a buzz saw dubbing it with the nick name "hitlers buzz saw". The US even had training videos on how to deal with the psychological effects the weapon can bring...
