Ok, oh man that sounds really interesting. I keep an eye on that Game. :)
Compared to that, as I remember, is almost the same except for some troop movements. I could be wrong but troop movement and positioning was easier with SMG than this one.
This game though, you need constant presence of all the battles happening. No time to hold your breath, take a step back and think what to do next (unless you pause the game). It's all fun but this victory I had was more luck than anything, several of my cannons failed to fire and one of my troops didn't attack.
But overall, real enjoyable. As for the AI, I used the random option so I didn't know what AI i was playing against but it was tough. It knew when to withdraw, when to attack and most importantly, it knew the right positions where I would be vulnerable.
Jon, do you still know Sid Meier's Gettysburg? :) That was earlier a good Game as well about the americian civil war.
