So i have world creation and changing the color of units down but can anyone tell me how i can modify unit models? Such as adding models from other units on to another or changing the geometry of units and creating custom models (I'd like to make Crab droids and add Visors, weapon models and accurate pauldrons to clones). I'm not sure what 3D software i should use.

hopefully someone here knows what i could do modding the game. my goal is mostly editing/swapping vanilla maps weapons ,characters and disabling features/effects. i searched online all i find is creating custom content nothing on vanilla content. any suggestions?
