Bigger Astronomicals

Descripción
Makes planets, stars and black holes BIGGER!

Suns are about twice as large, planets are about three times as large as they did seem a little small, and the galactic black hole is BIG now. You'll probably want to increase both the system size and spacing a bit larger than the default, as otherwise everything looks a little cramped. On the other hand, if you're one of those people who play with big systems and vast spacing regularly, this mod should help make everything look a little more to scale. There's also more of a random range of planet sizes, since they seemed a bit similar.

Planet surfaces should be mostly the same, perhaps a little bigger, and hitpoints of stellar objects is increased a bit as a side effect. Since graviton condensers that can pop planets double-quick are fairly easy to make, I'm not going to struggle to fix this, but you should be aware.

Thanks to Darknote for inspiring this mod and prompting an investigation into the map generation.

Not sure why that might be - but I've updated some files and marked compatibility for version 2.0.0 anyway. It now certainly works on my end again, and I destroyed a galaxy to prove it.

Well I never said they'd be to scale, just bigger :)

Yeah, to scale, if the star stays the same size as it is in the game, Earth would be about 2 systems away, for a sense of scale. Our solar system would be -way- bigger than the default galaxy. Playing in that scale just wouldn't be fun, which is, I suspect, why GGLucas didn't implement it. ;)

The problem with this is that the game already has celestial objects absurdly huge. Yes, if the sun is a basketball the earth is a grain of sand, but on that scale it's about 30 meters away, and Neptune is over a kilometer. I'd estimate the game already has celestials something like a billion times their actual size, so making them even -bigger-? Wow.

I'd say I want it the other way around... but I kinda don't. Stars are scaled about right to be a significant tactical feature of a system for combat. Too much smaller, and they wouldn't be.

The black hole on the other hand, should be big, as Sagitarius A* (The Milky Way's central black hole) is about the size of Mercury's orbit.

Hmm, maybe if you think of the graphical depictions as about the size of each object's area of gravitational predominance, it'd be closer.

Just tried it,wow, the sense of scale, galaxy feels less like a playground and more like a galaxy. Great work Darloth.:KneelingBow:

conquer the universe? nope conquer a random giant system for total domination.... sounds fun :)

that actually sounds absolutely awesome!
