Weapons NOT to use in MvM
By faucifan46
Now, we all know that some weapons are horrible. There is no other way of putting it. The question many people ask is "How can I tell a BAD weapon form a GOOD weapon?" I'm going to answer this question, with 9 weapons I would not EVER use in MvM.

Intro
The way I'll explain these is 1 weapon that is bad for each class, thus 9 weapons in total. Feel free to express YOUR oppinion in the comments. Let's get started.
OFFENSE CLASSES
This section will be explaining the weapons not to use as an offensive class. Without further ado, the scout.

1. THE SODA POPPER
This weapon is like the force a nature, but replacing the knockback with 6 additional jumps. I don't know why you would be jumping around 6 times in MvM instead of shooting, but for you who have a reason for jumping, please tell me in the comments.

2. THE B.A.S.E. JUMPER

This weapon is used in most normal games of tf2 for the common market garden troll. However, in MvM, this weapon makes you a flying sitting duck, a slow moving target that can't aim very well, not to mention you just got rid of your buff banner for this.

3. THE DEGREASER

Now, like the previous weapons, the degreaser is beloved by many who use the strategy of burning an enemy, airblasting them, then either hitting them with an axtinguisher or shooting them with the reserve shooter. In MvM you won't have the chance due to the fact that robots come in huge hourdes that will kill you. Now you might think "Okay I'll just use it like a normal flamethrower!" but alas, it has 2 damage penalties meaning that you should just use the normal one instead.
DEFENSIVE CLASSES
Now it is time to seee what not to use as demo, heavy, and the engineer.

1. QUICKIEBOMB LAUNCHER

Now, soome of you probably saw this coming. The only reason I really care about of this weapon is the fact that if your bombs have been laid for 2 seconds, they disolve. They don't explode or do damage, they just disappear. On top of this, we get a damage penalty, which isn't always bad on some weapons, but on this it is. The weapon was specificly designed for the type of demomen who use the sticky launcher like a grenade launcher. Overall not that great.

2. FAMILY BUSINESS

This weapon gets a lot of hate everywhere because of it's damage penelty. I personally don't hate this weapon, but when I see it on MvM I am forced to leave. "Why is it bad?" you may ask. In MvM what you want most is brute force and damage, something this weapon does not have. Sorry fatscouts.

3. GUNSLINGER

I'm not one of those noobs who says the gunslinger is overpowered please nerf blah blah blah... I think it is a great weapon that introduced an offensive playstile to engineer. However, the combat mini-sentry is not all that good in MvM, due to it's reduced health and the fact that it is unable to be upgraded. On top of this, the mini sentry can be purchased in the upgrade station, meaning that you can have a level 3 and a mini-sentry, if you want it that much.
SUPPORT CLASSES
Most of the support classes get a lot of hate in MvM, with the exception of the medic. They are only hated because they are harder to master than the other ones. However, sometimes they are hated for weapon choice...

1.VACCINATOR

This weapon is probably the worst thing to use. Sure it gets uber faster and can have 4 charges stored in it at once, but the charges are shorter and do not grant invulnerability, and in MvM, are kind of useless.

2. RAZORBACK

This weapon is good for spies, but in MvM, I see people using this in missions with little to no spies in them. The fact that they should have achievement Jarate already and they still use razorback makes me even more angry, because upgraded jarate coats robots in mini-crits and makes them slower.

3. BIG EARNER

Out of all the support classes, spy definately gets the most hate in MvM. However, it is hard to see why he shouldn't if he is using this. The big earner is a weapon that lowers your max health, and giving you 30% cloak on kill. I think the reasons why this weapon is crap are self explanatory.
THANKS
And have fun

The soda popper is to get money in obnoxious locations faster instead of taking a staircase and it actually does more dps than other scout primaries when you keep firing.

Big Earner and Soda Popper are actually some of the bect Weapons for their respective classes. And Although CAR_ already stated that, you forgot some really bad weapons

Yeah, I've realised that the soda popper and big earner are better than I though. I tried editting the guide but it didn't let me for some odd reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I just want to let everyone know I tried changing it and if you must know the weapons I changed, they were the backscatter and wanga prick, before someone says it is the same as YER I know it is, but the YER looks cooler.

Meanwhile, there are a lot of really bad weapons that did not make your list for some reason:

Back Scatter
Air Strike
DIrect Hit
Liberty Launcher
Tomislav
Eureka Effect
Classic
Huntsman
Your Eternal Reward

All of these are straight downgrades from stock with no redeeming qualities.

Soda Popper and Big Earner are extremely popular weapons for experienced Scouts and Spies, respectively.

I personally think Knife is a bit better than Big Earner, but I still use Big Earner because it's Strange and stuff. But it's generally accepted that Big Earner is better than YER, the Kunai, and the Spycicle. Seriously, out of all the Spy knives why do you feel the need to hate on this one?

Soda Popper is just great. The five extra jumps ARE useful. In fact, a lot of Scouts who have no clue how to use the Soda Popper still use it because of the jumps. Besides, lots of people consider FaN knockback a DISadvantage in MvM because it's annoying to teammates trying to aim at whatever you're bouncing around. Soda Popper is far more popular than FaN among Scouts who have a clue.

ok, I think I'll edit the guide a bit since you all love the soda gun. I'll change it to be the sun on a stick or something. Also, I forgot the YER existed as I usually use the stock knife.

Soda Popper has the best DPS of all Scout primaries, and the Hype gives you pretty good mobility. There is literally no reason not to use it.
Big Earner is actually an okay knife. Definitely a viable sidegrade to stock. Allows you to play a little bit more aggressively when you've got the Dead Ringer.

I'd say the Soda Popper is a very common weapon among Scouts in MvM.
High DPS, extra mobility for free and cheap to upgrade.

Vaccinator is a good Medigun, but most people that use it have no idea how to operate the thing.

Big Earner is one of the better Spy knives you can use. Wouldn't it be a better idea to mention the Your Eternal Reward or Wanga?

You got some right, but a couple you chose the best weapons in the opinions of a number of people.

Soda Popper is actually the best Primary you can use. It has the highest DPS for the least investment, the jumps allow for accessing upper levels without jump height upgrades, and it doesn't screw up your teams aim like the FaN. If anything pick one of the Scout's bad melees like Sun on a Stick or Wrap Assassin.

The Vaccinator while situational and not great late game is still a fair choice of a medigun. The heal beam blocks crits, get resists and quick revives, and can get shields up pretty quick. I'd say the worst overall weapon at the medics disposal would be Vita-saw, but if I had to pick a medigun I'd say stock.

Big Earner while lowering your health allows you to refill on your cloak with a couple of stabs on small bots, so you can cycle through dead ringer after dead ringer without much care.
