There is something called Light and Sound [www.google.com.mx] shows at these pyramids. they light them up with colorful lights at night and play music/theatre at the base. It's awesome, and it would look so cool in C:S. By the way, this pyramid is called Temple of Kukulcan, not chichek Itza :p Chichen Itza is the entire complex, not that it matters, but just a fyi from a Mexican :D

I was gonna say "UPDATE for AD please", then i realized wtf it is, an ancient monument xD
But that said, in real life these monuments do have modern lights here and there just to mark them and light them up at night (for example at the corner of the base and maybe 4 spotlights at the top).
