Thanks for the update, norwalker. Was trying to figure it out but just couldn't make it happen. But I'm also everything else than a pro. ^^ Anyhow; cheers mate.

This is an in game problem with this item (the waste water plant) and the asset editor. If you don't enable the radio button loading all props with the building, the water connection marker won't be loaded and you cannot connect the building to the pipes. However, if you DO enable the 'load with all props etc.' button checked, when you save the item it returns a error stating that there is an object reference linking error, and your item will not appear in the menus. It seems currently there is no way to modify the water treatment plant with the in game editor.

One change I've noticed is that this building cannot be placed on the map, as it says that water is needed.

It's just the standard asset decorated with some items. Nothing changed in the behaviour of the building.

Is there a way to connect this to the city water and sewage network?

Good point, but I do believe they'd prefer the park or woods around the corner. ^^ Anyhow; I was inspired for this one by a small Italian one at lake Garda at the beach with the pedestrian path leading right through it; was overgrown with vines and palm trees were growing right in the middle of it. Different flair but unfortunately reality. :)
