Shinji Mikami, Schöpfer der Resident Evil-Reihe, schickt uns in seinem neuesten Werk an der Seite von Detective Sebastian Castellanos in einen Albtraum, aus dem wir nicht mehr aufwachen sollen. Es beginnt harmlos:
Wegen eines Notrufs fahren Sebastian und seine Kollegen zu einer Nervenheilanstalt, um bizarre Morde aufzuklären. Als wir dort ankommen, bietet sich uns ein seltsames Bild.
Mehrere Autos der Polizei stehen verlassen davor, als wären sie vor einer Sekunde angekommen. Keine Menschenseele weit und breit. Diesen Fall zu untersuchen, wird uns bald zum Verhängnis...
