How to get a Recon Soldier:

The easiest/fastest way to get to Recon is just buying it for around 1200 gold or around $11.27 USD. If you do not have the money to spend then what you do is level up as much as you can. What I have seen is the best way to level up is to capture bases and defence. You can get a bonus to Recon ribbons by capturing bases without being seen aswell. But again that would take a long time and it would be very faster to just buy it.

Update: You do not need to get the sniper class to get this badge, you can get all the things for a sniper with just basic infantry but this will require high ranked ribbons for the guns. The main bonus I see for the sniper class is that you are paired up with other snipers, get a cool mobile armored car with some great guns, and better camo to hide yourself.

(This and maybe some parts have changed, it will be updated soon.)
Recon 12th Grade Ribbon/ Camouflage Badge
INFO: For those who do not know, this ribbon unlocks a badge called camouflage which allows you to have no killcam when you kill an enemy.

Now to the fun part, Getting this ****ing badge. Lets start out with if you didn't buy the Recon a great way as said before is to capture bases without being seen as you level up. If you have enough credits and unlocked the sniper rifle with your infantry that would be an ideal start. Now lets say you have unlocked the recon or bought the recon, a way to start out with a fresh factory standered sniper is to always capture a base as fast as you can at the beginning of the game, unseen remember. the most important thing is to always aim for the head, Headshots are the best thing you can get for recon and it is your main source of EXP for the Recon Ribbon. It may say you need long range sniper kills to capture a base but that is a bunch of crap. They only give EXP for headshots about 63-100 EXP per headshot. Capturing a base without being seen does 250 per base and you must capture it meaning been there for atleast half the capturing time. Ignore things saying you must finish without dying because that will only give you 250 EXP and that is not worth the trouble of losing good headshots by hiding all game. Don't rely on those 1 hit kill snipers everyone wants because they are worthless with their accuracy, you want the new scout II barrel and anything else that can help your accuracy not just damage, all headshots are 1 hit kills anyways. Lastly all you want to play is skirmish's because assults are to long and to big of maps for those good headshots. Those skirmish maps are short and will also give a lot of credits because they are quick. That will pretty much end this guide so good luck and have fun with your new camouflage.

Update/Reminder: You do not need to use a sniper for the Camouflage badge to work but you do need it to get the badge itself unless you want to take weeks and maybe months trying to get it through capturing bases which give very little EXP to the ribbon. (Which I do not recommend)
After Camouflage
What do you do after you have this badge? Good questions, do whatever you want because you are unseen when killing and you can be the changing force in any battle now... if your good enough. What I do is cap the damage and use the camouflage to get over 30+ kills in 1 skirmish battle and about 40+ in a Assault if it lasts long enough.

When you have camouflage remember, you are not invisible, people will hunt you down and kill you, they are smarter then you make them look, unless you move positions without being seen it will almost be a garuntee they find you eventually. The only way to avoid moving is to find a place far enough where no one can hear the bullets so best learn to lead your damn shots.

Finally the money issue. I have had this problem just like alot of you who shoot like crazy at 1 guy with a fully powered sniper. Best thing to do is time your shots, wait for them to stand still or get a good speed to lead a shot but try not to waste more then 2 bullets on a opponent. If you do get low on money i suggest getting a light tank which is amazing for making it. You can get over 3000 a game while only spending 400 in repair/ammunition. That should solve that and thank you for your responses.

You can use any gun you like and it is the best badge for taking bases, hiding in a corner, running around killing and making any enemy confused on where you are, and my favorite the anger of the team.. Lol.

This guide is a little old but the original meaning of the snipers is just to get the badge, Basically any Rifle that can get your recon ribbon up is what can be used. Im pretty sure Recon goes up with Headshots, Capturing points ( I think), and Getting long range kills. If it is hard to get headshots the best way to get them I say is to counter snipe, go for the people who are standing still or proning trying to get kills themselves.

I need some clarification here. Are the "snipers" that you mentioned including the semi-auto default infantry rifles such as the M1G, or just the bolt action ones? Or they're just generally anything that can have a scope attached on then? Cause I'm having a really hard time scoring headshot against the new bots.

EA is a companies dream but a players nightmare, A dumb ammount of money for the company while having a bad game just good enough to keep people playing.

Naw like all updates in every game, we just need more guns and stuff we have to play or pay for, who needs a good working game when you can have one that costs a lot.

VOIP, bipods, and spawn 1.1 whcih allowed for the flank would be all awesome (with some improvements the old spawns). In the forums evrybody has said that like a billion times but I don´t know what Reto is doing. The game potential is huge but they break things instead of fixing problems and adding cool features.

If they implimented set up mechanics it could change the game, putting up nests, machine gun placements, it would make the game even more strategical.... oh and voice chat that would be nice.

Something to give them more cover, a old version of a ghillie suit or maybe something that could be set up like a sniper nest that can me used for camo.

yea, something: less sway, passive nimble badge, etc. Becasue infantry can almost do the same as a recon which is a little unfair. Recons should be more special.

Ya, snipers need a tiny buff (not to big) because people just ride up on them or if a team is cornered they can't do much so for a team at this point so many a flash hider would be nice.
