This is also my first guide :)

Introduction
Im sure some people wonder, especially people who are new to this game; What pistol should I use with this gun?

Well that is the whole reason im writing this, its because I want to educate people about things to think of when choosing a secondary, and even gear.

Before you move on into this guide, there are some things you should take note of. All of the things you are about to see in the guide are from my personal expirience and opinions.

  • What type of play style are you going for? (Examples: Ninja defuse, Rushing)
  • Is it a eco round or a buy round
  • What type of primary do you have (Examples: AWP, XM1014, P90, AK47, Negev)
  • What side are you on (Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist)
  • How skilled are you with the pistol you are considering?
  • Or... Do you even need to buy a secondary?

Assault Rifles
Lets cover Assault Rifles first, after all its your mainstream weapon for each side and usually the weapon of choice for most situations.

(From best to worst)

  • Glock-18/USP-S/P2000 - These guns are relatively accurate and will kill an unarmored opponent in one headshot, they will usually work just fine in emergency situations or where you want to finish an opponent off with a few shots. Another thing to mention is, it doesnt cost any extra.

  • P250 - If you're looking for something with a bit more firepower than your conventional pistol that you start with, then this is the way to go. It should work perfect in emergency situations or when you run out of ammo for your primary, but the drawback is you probably wont be using it much and it will end up being a waste of 300$ in most cases when you could have just used a default pistol and been fine.

  • Five-SeveN/Tec-9 - I honestly dont think you should buy either of these if you have an assault rifle. Unless you picked it up or already had it, then its a waste of money. You really wont be using it that much, and you dont really need all the firepower and ammo that both of these have. Basically you wont get good use out of it and it will end up being a bad choice in most cases. The only real use it has is if you are buying a cheaper AR like the FAMAS or Galil AR.

  • Deagle - As much as the deagle is rather versatile, it honestly does not have any real use if you're using an assault rifle. Although its very accurate and has high damage, your assault rifle already has all of that but with a bigger mag, less recoil and full auto capability. It doesnt suit emergencies that well unless you are good at using it, simply because it does not have alot of bullets in a magazine.

  • CZ-75 Auto - The CZ-75 is usually used to kill a enemy or two and take their gun that is better. There is no real reason to buy it for an assault rifle as it does not have that much ammo and its reload is long. For the occasional emergency it suits well, but you could simply reload your assault rifle.

Sniper Rifles
Now lets take a look at sniper rifles. This is one of those sections where picking the right secondary could mean your life... And it could mean saving alot of money if you bought something like an AWP or Auto Sniper.

The secret for a sidearm for a Sniper rifle is... DPS. Not damage per shot, but plain DPS.

Ever seen Sinon from Gun Gale Online? Notice how she uses a Full-Auto G18 as a sidearm for her Hecate II Sniper? (the g18 is really not 3rb), well that is sort of what I mean. You want something like that, not all about the full auto but something you can lay down cover fire or pull out in a close quarters firefight when you just so happen to encounter one.

  • Tec-9/Five-SeveN - Trust me when I say this, when you have a sniper there is gonna be times where you will be engaged from close range. This is because you have a sniper and well, if they just get close enough and spray you with a SMG or something your in big danger of dying. But all 3 of these solve that problem. The Tec-9 and Five-SeveN are great because of their good armor penetration and large magazine sizes at close range. Not to mention they have good damage compared to the default pistols, and they should be just fine for spraying and killing that enemy who gets close to you.

  • P250/CZ-75 - The P250 is a great sidearm for a sniper when you dont want to spend too much on a sidearm and/or you are looking for something balanced and powerful that you can use as a close quarters weapon. The only reason it's behind the Tec-9/Five-SeveN and CZ-75 is because its a semi auto with low ammo count, which the CZ-75 compensates for by having full auto. The CZ-75 has full auto capability and stats pretty much equal to the P250 with the drawback of a small amount of ammunition. Fortunately if you are going to go all-out sniper, you wont be fighting close range too much, and the nice thing is you can just quickly equip it and fire a full auto burst at the enemy during close encounters and kill them quickly.

  • Glock-18/USP-S/P2000 - This is actually also a pretty good choice, although it lacks the firepower of some of the other weapons that would work better as an emergency or close quarters weapon, its the cheapest option and if you are good with them then it should work just fine for you.

  • Deagle - Most people will probably say im wrong about this but, unless you are really good with the Deagle there is no point having it as a secondary if you are a sniper. Its basically another sniper in pistol form, and it wont be that much use at close quarter combat. Its more of a long range pistol than a close quarters one.
SMG's/Heavies
Instead of listing all of the secondaries for these; im just going to list your best options for each. With SMG's and Heavies there really is no debate on what you should chose. There is just 1-3 pistols that will be really useful if you dont want to die at longer ranges or when your gun runs out of ammo.

The secret to picking a sidearm to both of these; is something accurate or something that can hit from long ranges and deal a decent amount of damage. An example is how Kirito from GGO Uses a five seven as an alternative to his sword, simply because it is accurate and is good for a long range pistol.

For SMG's:

I honestly say dont buy a pistol. Just live with the default sidearm you start with. You probably wont be using it anyways. The only pistol I could see you buying is the Desert Eagle for longer ranges, but even then you have to be good with it to get ranged shots.

For Heavies:

buy a Tec-9/Five-SeveN. None of the heavies are really accurate, and these pistols will do the trick when your Shotty or LMG doesn't cut it. The Deagle is also an okay choice, but unless you are good with it you're better off not buying it. Why the Deagle? Because like I said in previous sections, the Deagle is a great long range pistol. And that is something that the heavies lack; good long range accuracy.

Conclusion
I hope you liked this guide I made, and feel free to let me know of any additions or suggestions and opinions you guys have.

Thanks for reading! :) and I hope I helped!

Yeah, bizon's mag looks endless and p90 has big mag and high cost, unllike other smg's. If smg costs like 1200-1700 then it's ok for me to spend another 300-500 for sidearm. Pistols and smg's are more alike for me (except for autofire ofc.) and if used at close disatnce together they give you better chance of killing (IMHO).

I can see why. I could only justify that with Mac-10, UMP, MP9 and MP7 though.

The ump is the only one I would really do, because it has a long reload. The rest dont have a super long reload.

The bizon or p90 I dont see any reason to buy a secondary for. They both have an average reload speed and lots of bullets.

I prefer buying good sidearm along with smg for better firepower, at least p250, because those bullets ends really fast and good pistol doubles your firepower at close distances. But that's my opinion and your guide was interesting for me.
