Step One: The Basics
Unfortuantly you are a Human in Space Engineers, you know, those things made of water that need oxygen... Anyways, to survive in Space Engineers you need two things, both are equally important, oxygen and Uranium. They are both pretty simple to get. For Uranium you simply have to mine it and refine it. (For some reason, the planet famous for such Uranium related inventions as: nuclear power, the Tsar Bomba, and literally every object every made with uranium; Earth, does not have any.) To find it you just pull out your hand drill and fly around asteroids until you stumble upon a shiny black substance labled Uranium, if you find a shiny black substance labeled cheesecake you probably should report it to the developers. Now onto the slightly harder one, oxygen, that thing that isn't in great abundance in space. For oxygen you need three things; an oxygen generator, ice, and oxygen bottles. On any easy start you should have an oxygen generator and oxygen bottles already. So how do you get the third thing, ice? To get ice you fly around asteroids until you find a blue substance labeled ice with your hand drill. This should be enough to prevent your character from dropping dead, but there is still one more thing you will need if you want to maintain status quo.
Step Two: Hydrogen
Your jetpack, you know, the thing that lets you fly around asteroids, requires Hydrogen as fuel. Hydrogen is really simple, all you need is an oxygen generator, ice, and Hydrogen tanks. If you have all those things all you do is put the Hydrogen tanks in the oxygen generator, then you put ice in and it fills the tanks.
Step Three: Creativity!
So now you won't drop dead due to lack of power or oxygen and you can continue to fly around with your jetpack. So you may ask, "Now what do I do??" Well lucky for you I have the answer, turn on that big imaginitive brain of your's and start building! Whether you build an asteroid eating drill battleship-megacarrier or a mach capable d*ldo, just have fun with whatever it is you build! No one will judge.... oh wait, it's the internet, everyone will judge. If you come across anyone who judges, just slap them with a big, flying, floppy piece of pure imagination!

@quickshadow10m im pretty sure this is mostly for space survival. if youre starting on earth you can ignore the astroids (unless for urainum) since you can find ice fairly easily in most areas

It looks like you want me to fly around asteroids for ice, what about all the ice lake everywhere?

One day I'll update it a bit more, but @chicks99 fixed it. Now says uranium isn't earthbound.

I might have to try that sometimes soon, sounds like a fun challenge!

What you do to kill them is grind them with the grinder, you have to make a defensive area with your drill and conserve suit energy (which should be enough to get that first battery)

Its hard until you get ammo production. try it, its the easiest way for me to explain it, you'll figure it out!

Wow that sounds interesting, how did you kill the Cyberhounds? If I did write a guide on this I would credit it to you :p
