I haven't been over-worried about enchanting gear at this point. Hat was at +5 but a disenchanter managed to hit me in the middle of frenzied bit of combat [a ki-rin summoned nasties which include several other things that could summon nasties :-s]. I'll consolidate more after I've cleared the castle. I've only had a single wish so far this game (gauntlets of dexterity), but have 2 unused magic lamps in my stash."
