Welcome! You have just enetered comradeship as an officer in the Russian empire's army! You will learn the most effective way to defeat your enemies in the little camp. Though Russians do not have very many improvements as other factions and also if they do not have as much equipment, it all does not matter if you follow these simple Instuctions.

Step one is discipline. Remember comrade, not one step back. Through the trenches of WW1, every major faction has enforced this rule of "not one step back". If you were caught trying to run or falling back, you would be shot by Officers. Russia had a different way of doing things. Commissars were introduced in 1917 or late World War 1. There were 3 type of Commissars introduced; the peoples Commissars, political Commissars, and Military Commissars. The Political Commissars are the ones with the same power of a units officer. They were placed throught the battlefield to increase moral of Russian troops and also deal with traitors and cowards. If you charge, you charge all your men in at the same time. Commissars would've shot anyone who sat in the trenches during a full scale charge.

Remember Comrade, since we are all in it together, we must help eachother out. Put all the weaker units of Riflemen and Cossack infantry in the front with your shock troops in the back of every charge. The grenades your shock troops have are priceless aswell as cossacks. Now there may be a lot of casualties on your side but on the other side after your are done and the charge is successful, you will see clear results of the position you've taken. And remember that you cannot just full-out charge the entire map; you go position by position. If you know there is a heavily fortified enemy position in front of you, you may need to use this tactic as this may be the only one at your disposal if all else fails. Move everyone at once and not one step back!

When you first spawn in, you send out 2 or 3 fresh units to go attack or defend and gather up the rest of them at your spawn and wait for the right time when you (and your friends) have enough people gathered up to about 20 fresh units each and put them together as one. You must not waver if most your men die, do not let their deaths to be in vein. If the man in front of you dies, use his body as a meat shield; he would've wanted you to. As soon as you charge, the point of the charge is to get your shock troops and Cossacks close enough to throw as many grenades as you can at the heavily fortified positions. Also remember that sending in your reserves is not nessecary aswell. During the charge, it is a good idea to push forward machine guns and engineers so that a counter offencive may not be useful to your enemies. Never leave yourself open to an attack.

This guide is to be used for a infantry-units only game. Yet it can be used if slightly changed to where artillery and armored units can be used to succesfully charge aswell. This tactic can actually be very effective as well as make the gameplay a lot more interesting. In my experience, every 2 of 3 Russian charges work if you are the Russian faction. For some reason, if you are another faction and call a Russian charge, you may get annihalated more often; again it's just within my experience. Now go forth Comrade, lead your Comrades to glory!
