Fix fps problems with most amd and nvida cards
By That1BIGDude
like the title says this should fix the horrible fps with both amd and nvida cards this will only work on certain cards there is not any real list of which cards you will just have to try and see. also this will only fix the fps for cards that should be able to run the game but for some reason are not

Nvidia Cards
  • first open your Nvidia control panel one way this can be done is by going to your desktop and right clicking on blank on blank space and then clicking on nvidia control panal

  • when it finishes opening click on manage 3d settings

  • click the button that says add, and look for something around C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DB Xenoverse\DBXV.exe or it might just say Dragon ball Xenoverse and double click it to add

  • click under where it says select the prefered graphic processer for this program
  • click on high performance

  • hit apply

  • launch the game and enjoy

if you dont see the option to select high performance or the section that says select the prefered graphic processer for this program that most likly means that this method is not compatible with your card and it wont work i am sorry
If you storngly believe that your graphic card should run the game but it doesnt then yo ushould report it to the developers and wait for the newest patch

if high performance is already selected then that means your laptop either can handle the game or that its a bug that you are just going to have to wait until they patch

AMD
I apologise i am on an nvdia machine which means i cant you screenshots for the amd process
  • open your catalyst this can be done by going to your desktop and right clicking on empty space and by clicking on graphic properties
  • when it opens up in the start area look to see if you see something along the lines of switchable graphics if you do then you are in luck this guide should work for you if not i am sorry this wont work for you
  • click on switchable graphics aplication settings
  • then from there click add
  • then navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DB Xenoverse\DBXV.exe or you can navigate whereever you decided to put the shorcut for the game
  • then scroll down until you find the game
  • under the graphic setting coloum click on what ever it says next to dbxv and choose high performance
  • finally hit apply and it should work correctly now or at least better

If for whatever reason following this guide just isn't enough to get rid of the lag, I've also done a guide outlining further steps you can take:

All you were doing was using the integrated chip, then you switched it to the primary GPU. This is common knowledge.
