Note that you will build factories and whatnot in the sea (see the map), if you're ok with that then proceed with the guide

Here's how you do it:

mass rotate all the "highlight" pictures through windows

OR

download my rotated package here
https://mega.co.nz/#!0cMi2JKS!S2Nr1IohS9isdMPNahawYuMHj0NRFPTjGWzflPuYlco

and replace all the images inside "highlight" (*\SteamApps\common\Neocolonialism\Art\Highlight)

Voilà

Why? It's a nice touch that was added on purpose and makes a point along the same lines as the game. And actually the direction N-S is totally arbitrary scientifically, and is due to the domination of northern countries. Clever hack though :):lunar2019grinningpig:

The coordinates of all of the icons are based on the resolution--it shouldn't be too hard to figure out a conversion formula.
