Description
The Lochaber is designed for one thing and one thing only: The total destruction of enemy capital ships and stations. The silhouette of the Lochaber when seen from above has led luckless ship crews to nickname it the "Devil's Cross".

Capable of carrying a crew of three, the Lochaber features four merge block mounts that enable it to carry a wide variety of outboard ordnance such as the Longbow two-stage, Hammerhead guided, or basic Lance torpedoes. With the extra crew handling both ship defense via turret gunning or priming, firing, and even guiding torpedoes while the pilot handles the tricky flying, the Lochaber is a capital ships worst nightmare outside of another capital ship.

Composed almost entirely of the heaviest armour available to fighter class craft to enable it to stay on target for as long as possible, the Lochaber features four CSD Scattercannons for anti-fighter defense as well as an underslung CSD Battlecannon firing high explosive rounds that can punch through large ship and station light armour in a single shot. The three gatling turrets are placed at the ships extremities and provide excellent coverage from all approaching angles so the Lochaber can remain on a steady course while launching torpedoes.

While slower and less agile than other fighter craft, especially when carrying ordnance, no other ship in the NeoTech arsenal is capable of launching such a devastating amount of firepower both accurately and while still managing to bring the ships crew home again.

Torpedo Notes:
- Lance: The Lochaber is capable of carrying a full load of the basic Lance torpedo. Once up to max velocity and lined up with a target the merge blocks can be released and gentle upward thrust applied to lift the Lochaber away from any released torpedo, which will continue to its target and detonate once within range.
- Hammerhead: The Lochaber is rated to carry a maximum of two Hammerhead torpedoes, one each at the extremity of each wing. The Hammerhead is a guided torpedo meant for precision strikes. Before loading a Hammerhead onto a bomber its thrusters should be turned off to avoid damage while manoeuvering. Once separated from a bomber any Hammerheads can be remote-controlled directly. Ensure the warhead group has been added to your UI with the "Detonate" command and press when the target is reached.

Lance - Find out which merge block it's connected to. Add that merge block to your toolbar with the "Turn Off" option. Get yourself pointed the right way and get up to whatever speed you want, then turn off the merge block and move carefully away so you don't affect its course. I find it worsk best with dampeners off so you don't accidentally decelerate before you mean to.

Hammerhead - Same thing, only remember to turn the thrusters on after detaching and then remote-control it.

sorry if i'm asking a dumb question, but how do you launch the torpedos? i looked in the toolbar for a group or something but didn't see anything...

Updated the world to include two Lochabers that have already been loaded with torps (one with 4 x Lance and one with 2 x Lance and 2 x Hammerhead) as well as individual torps for copy/pasting.

Thank you! I'd forgotten that I haven't uploaded any of the torpedoes yet, so I shall get on that shortly.
