Simple Escape Pod

Açıklama
Had a simple idea for a 2-person escape pod. Escaping is simple: run to it, hop in, press 1. It will launch itself into space, and approximately after 20 seconds it will activate distress beacon and slow down.
installation is simple too: it held in place by two connectors placed next to each other. So place pod ontop of the connectors, connect them, then turn off the pod's reactors to avoid uranium waste if this is in survival.
Entire setup, including the holder connectors is 1x2x3, so I'd say it is a compact escape pod.

No mods used.

brilliant. far better than the design i've been experimenting on.
one thing i noticed though, is that when you have a number of escape pods hooked to the same vessel, when you launch one, all of the others activate too. is there a way to change that to make just one launch? (or even better to just make two launch at a time so i can load the second one with decoys?)

Ah well I haven't messed with it yet, just saw peoples comments. Figured the low power / stick anywhere type thruster would work just fine for this if it didn't.

I love the minimalistic design! It has my vote! Though never heard of said RCS thrusters. Gonna check those out.

Edit: Ha! Also by you. Those are something I've been looking for!

Uh, it have thrusters, actually. This is escape pod, not a legitimate vessel, so it's only job is to keep you away from your ravaged ship, and possibly get you to another ship.

Some people seem concerned about the lack of thrusters, just get the RCS thrusters and whack those on there and walah! Not exactly going to get you any where fast but its an escape pod so.....
