So here is Your Advanced guide to play Interstellar Marines!

1. Recoil reduction
2. Proper Attachment usage
3. Proper reloading
4. Enemy behavior
5. Tactical teamwork

1. Recoil reduction
As you might have noticed after firing a complete clip at some poor robot, your gun has a realistic recoil. While this does not have mature effect on close quarter combat, it does at long range.

So how can you prevent recoil: Firing in short bursts will greatly reduce recoil, crouching is also a very effective tactic but will make you vunerable for a short moment. You could also use the recoil in your advantage, try aiming slighty below the head of your enemy, the crosshairs of your gun will steadily meet the eyes of a crying marine that is about to get one between the eyes.

2. Proper attachment usage
At this moment you are already well known wil the 3 infamous attachments: laserpointer, flashlight and silencer. But how do you use these in your advantage?

Laserpointer: The laserpointer serves it purpose the most at close or medium range, because of this it should only be used with the SMG. the laserpointer will show where the bullets will meet their destination. It is by far the best attachment for ''spraying'' larger numbers of enemy's at close range.

Flashlight: The Flashlight is your only light in dark mazes filled with pissed off robots, Your flashlight should be used to guide you and not to show you the way. This means you should only use it when you have to, this could also protect you from the angry comments in the talk channel during multiplayer matches as they give your position away.

Silencer: The silencer is at this point the best attachment in-game, one should always use their silencer in CO-OP unless ♥♥♥♥ hits the van. It will be your first line of defence that stands between you being a shadow and you being the A**hole that alarmed an army of Terminators, The silencer in Multiplayer servers a smaller purpose. your location is still easily spotter by keen enemy players.

3. Proper reloading
When playing in CO-OP you should only reload when someone covers your back, You are a sitting duck when you are reloading and a running duck when you are reloading and running. consider purchasing a headsetfor intel on who has got your back and who needs your cover.

4. Enemy behavior
CO-OP: In CO-OP enemy behavior gets more advanced when you play on a higher difficulty, try to shoot armed bots first as they are a bigger problem then the bots that run right up too your barrel. Also try to stick to higher ground and shoot down as many as you can before entering the area.

Multiplayer: In multiplayer each enemy has their own playing style, all you need to know is that you DO NOT turn on your flashlight because it WILL give away your position, also try to reload in a secure location after killing an enemy player. If you are focused on capturing enemy objectices make sure you got someone lurking in the shadows for you, he can finish off the bastard that killed you and perhaps try to recapture the objective.

5. Tactical teamwork
Teamwork is one of the most important things in Interstellar Marines, consider buying a headset for optimal an optimal teamwork expiernce. If not, always remember that you should stick close to your fellow team mates. That way you can revive them if they are down and they can do the same for you.

This Counts As Advanced?

Strangely, I really appreciate that argument. Not because I like conflict, but that was one of the very few times I have seen a pair of individuals who disagreed and had a semi-extended conflict about that contained actual evidence and didn't purely consist of racial slurs or other cretinous insults that have no actual argument behind it.

in conclusion, make the guide more in-depth and detailed, and then come talk to me

i was reffering to your allegation that i was claiming that my guide was more advanced than yours is, as my guide does not claim in any way that it is an "Advanced Guide". once again, my argument is that your guide is not substantial enough to be called an "Advanced guide", more "tips and tricks", not that mine was more advanced. therefore, your assertion is not relevent to the argument at hand. I used my guide as evidence that much more content could be composed regarding one of the topics you touched on.

So that would make it only more relevant?!?
RedTedRedemption 22 Feb, 2015 @ 2:30pm
not relevent. i have never claimed that my guide is "more advanced than [your] guide", simply that it was not in depth nor detailed to be called an "advanced guide." again, it would be better labeled "tips and tricks" rather than an "advanced guide"

Well your guide is an ''comprehensive guide on the theory and practice of leading a 3-4 player fireteam'' juist becauce your guide focuses on teamwork in general does not mean it is in anyway more advanced then my guide, but to make such an allegation would be childish abd more important off-topic. My guide is simply the follow-up of '' Your basic guide to interstellar marines'' which described the bare basics of basic IM gameplay, maybe that this guide juist describes the bare basics of advanced IM. But saying that this guide could not help advanced players is juist blantanly not true.
